Panini scanner gives error but no details about what is wrong

I am scanning checks, and the Panini will stop and declare a fault; it is hooked up to a WinXP computer with My Demo For My Vision X software. When removing the stack of unscanned checks, the error noise sounds again, then placing the checks back in the input area and pressing F5/Start will allow the Panini to run again. With the fault not cleared, I can remove the inner cover and replace it, then hit Start and it will scan one check then call another fault. The scans are clear and there are no missing numbers from the checks scanned when the faults occur, and it's not the same check causing the fault each time.

Other Panini scanners hooked up to this computer do not have this issue.

No longer an issue: I read further into the user manual and found out that this is the configuration that had been purchased: after 50 scanned checks, the Panini will stop and not allow more checks to be scanned until the input feeder is emptied. This is not a problem I have seen before so I did not realize it was actually a design feature.

Hello. The thing you should do first is, turn off the computer and the scanner. Now you need to do is to disconnect the Panini scanner from the computer itself. Then turn on the computer and uninstall the Panini program from the computer. When your done doing all that, reinstall the installtion program for the Panini scanner, then reconnect the scanner back onto the computer, then turn on the scanner and give it a testrun and see what happens. Good Luck!

SOURCE: My HP Scanjet2400 stops working

Step 1. Pl check whether the scanner is placed on an even surface and secondly remove the power plug of the scanner and open the cabinet of the scanner, remove the upper glass portion, reattach the power plug and click on the hp director icon and let the scanner scan without any document. now keep an eye on the belt of the scanner (that moves the lens up and down), if it is touching something in between you would get a clear view of what is the cause of the interruption.

SOURCE: Scanner is stopping during scan cycle

when you tried it on other lmachines did you load software from same source? If its a software driver problem, you can uninstall the one you have and then try getting a new copy from hp website and reinstall fresh.
If there are any known issues or updates, then the current version will be best anyway and may solve the problem.
Probably not much you can do if its a harware problem, unless its under warranty.

RE: Scanner gives me code 5,145,61 how can fix it ?

I was using wireless router and receive exactly the same error code as above.
SOLUTION: Turn-off printer/scanner; reset or turn-off the wireless router power and then turn-on again. Turn-on the scanner. Start scanning.

How do you reset the check engine light on a 2007 mitsibishi galant?

You hook up a code scanner and press the reset code function or you can disconnect and reconnect your battery. If there is something which is at fault after codes are cleared engine light will come back on and you should get codes checked. Most parts stores will check for you for free but their level of mechanical expertise can very drastically so check back here with trouble codes which you can't determine for further help

2005 Scion XA Check Engine Light (Not maintenance Light!) @ 35K Milage.

The check engine light means that something is going wrong with the engine, electric, or emissions part of your vehicle. it will need to be hooked to a scanner to find out what the trouble codes are. Usually Autozone will scan and give you the codes for free. get them and post them here and i will try to help you with the diagnostics

It is a Check Engine Light, meaning youe ECM (Computer) in your car has found a fault (Trouble Code) with a component or sensor in your engine. You will need a OBD II Diagnostic Scanner to be hooked up to your Diagnostic Port located inside your vehicle under the driver's side footwell to scan the stored codes so that your mechanic can determine a solution to the car's problem. You can go to your local AutoZone store and they can hook up a scanner and read your trouble code for free so you have an idea what is wrong with your vehicle. You can click on the link below for more detailed information.

Wont scan some checks and wont scan money orders

The software for your device has special security features programmed in that will recognize commonly counterfeited items.

This software will prevent unauthorized scanning of security documents like cashier's checks, money orders, United States currency, etc.

There is no way to remove this feature from your scanner's software. However, some software allows for very low resolution (100 DPI or less) scans of these documents.

You'll just have to experiment and see if you can scan these documents with your scanner at these lower resolutions.
