Question about Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1: Windows
Loggings application stopped working and was closed. The culprit is supposed to be update kb929777 but I cant find it on my PC
On boot : (when logo dissapears) just start hitting F8 and choose last known good configuration from the menu ... that will fix it , but when you are back in windows delete the specified kb929777 from list of updates (control panel->windows update --> from left side panel choose list of updates, search by installation date or by kb, then click and deinstall)

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

get Win Vista CD, boot from cd and click on repair my computer, here the system will try and fix it, if it does'nt then use the same process to restore the system to a particular time (mind you not COMPLETE RESTORE), you won't loose any save files. good luck
