you have to check if your MAC (with OSX 10.3) supports such device (imation 16x external dvd burner). if so, well look for the driver of the imation dvd burner in the internet.

you could search for it by typing in on google or any other search engine and look for the driver with is for MAC (OSX 10.3).

SOURCE: Canon N650U and Mac OSX

Canon only has this scanner driver in OS9 and it will run in classic mode if you are using OSX. This $40 software will work with your scanner in OSX, but for $40 you can purchase an OSX native scanner too.

SOURCE: erase and reformat to be compatible with new mac

Think I might have solved it myself. Here's how:

Open Disk Utilities and select the external hard drive. Select the "Erase" tab. Hit "Erase" at the bottom right.

That's all. Just dragged a folder onto it and it worked.

You need to update your driver by getting the latest software in the Lexmark website here. During software update what usually gets updated are the basic functionalities. In this case it looks like the scanner is not being updated as well. Hope this helps.

Operating System Requirements

No Problem
Always do a full backup before updating your Mac OSX. Use Carbon Copy Cloner to make a bootable "Clone" of your current Hard Disk. Once the clone is done... Boot from the clone. (Hold Option Key down at Startup and choose external HardDrive with new clone OSX)
Verify that this clone Boots & has all of your current data.
Use the "Mac Tracker" App on the Mac or iPhone to see what the maximum OSX system your model can handle. (Makes no sense in installing just OSX10.5 if you can go to say OSX10.7
Download a copy of the MacOSX 10.5.8 installer DVD (Saved as a .DMG file here Fenopy.se (Search for OSX 10.5). OR OSX10.9 (free download) if your Mac can run on this latest OSX.
Burn your OSX Install software to DVD. Use Disk Utility with your .DMG (Disk Image) File and select the .dmg from the LH Side menu to burn to DVD.
Once burned, try booting from the DVD. If that works OK then you are ready to go. BUT not quite yet.
You really don't want to install a new clean system over top of your existing system. This would be like a Band Aid Fix.
(This is where you must have your current existing system cloned to an external hard drive. Just like i mentioned above.)
Because, now you will start up or "boot" your computer from the DVD installer disk you just made. You will find the Disk Utility tool in the top menu. Use this to FORMAT your internal Hard Drive. (Dont Have your External Drives connected at this time... for safety.)
Choose ERASE or Partition and Select "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" as the format type.
This process only takes a few minutes. If you have more time you can select the Security Option (choose fastest or single pass) then hit erase button. The security option in this case is only used to write "ones" to every sector on the disk thereby thoroughly testing the drive. This happens to be the ideal time to make sure you have a good flawless internal hard drive. Peace of Mind for older Macs.
Once completed, your drive is totally empty, you have lost everything unless you have made a "clone" beforehand.
Now you can run the installer and leave that process to complete for half an hour or so.
When installer has finished the Mac should reboot itself (you will hear install Jingle), with the new clean OSX installed. You can then manually answer all the questions if you want and give it your Network passwords etc. OR You can select Migration Assistant and migrate all your previous files & settings automatically from that external drive "clone" you made earlier.
You should now have almost a brand new clean Mac to install your new scanner software on.
Also... if you only installed say OSX10.5.0 then you will have updates to download on line, then install, to bring your Mac up to 10.5.8
I run this process on my Mac's at least once a year so that I always have a clean OSX with defragged hard drive so I can work reliably for the next few months. If not... I still have my "Clone" to boot from.
By the way Apple's latest systems since 10.7 (I Think) have an emergency boot partition automatically installed by the installer software. You just re boot & hold the OPTION KEY down and you are given the choice of booting from this bare minimum emergency system. It is heavily limited as to it's functionality but Disk Utility is there to look for problems.)
Good Luck

Where can I find one ?

Regardless of what you are looking for, my suggestion (to save some dough) is eBay. eBay will have all sorts of Operating Systems for all types of computers, a lot of which you can bid on and win one for cheap or, one that you can buy directly ("Buy Now") option, for cheap.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Using a mac with photoshop software and evolis pebble 4 printer, the problem im having is the color that i have designed for our company id badges on my computer screen is not coming out when i print it out...

In an ideal world, your use of a Mac and Photoshop with the Pebble4 printer would work fine. Unfortunately, you're presumably using a current OSX with a current release of Photoshop, and then attempting to print with a printer that barely supported Mac OSX when it was last manufactured in 2012. From our experience selling/supporting Evolis products since they first were offered in the USA, here's some things to try:

1. Create a 300-dpi .jpg image of your card design. Ensure it is sized as a CR80-card. Render the colors as RGB, rather than YMC. Then attempt to print the .jpg file to the Pebble with a different, more-simple program than PS. (ensure your margins are set to "0" all around (top, bottom, left, right).

2. If that doesn't work - download the cardPresso badge software (free trial) from their web-site. It works on Mac OSX, so you may get better results, as it is designed to work with card printers. Take your .jpg image (from step 1) and set it as your background image on a new card-design in cardPresso and try to print from there. (note you'll see a "cardpresso" watermark across the front of printed cards while using the trial version.). If this works, you can buy a copy of the basic version very inexpensively (particularly when compared to the cost of a Mac or Photoshop).

3. Do you have access to a Windows PC? If so, one with Win7 is preferred. Download and install the Pebble Windows driver, connect the printer, install the cardPresso trial edition (as in #2, above), create a new card with your PS design as the "background" image, and try printing from there.

Beyond these options, you have expensive ones, including getting a current-model printer that would be fully supported for the environment in which you're trying to use it.

I have the 8 disc set (mac version) purchased in the year 2000 working with OSX 9. Now I have a new mac with snow leopard version OSX 10. I would like to use the disc's with the new computer, what do I do?

Unfortunately the software will not work with OSX. OS9 (also refered to as classic os) had some compatibility with macs up to 2005 when Apple changed the processors in macs to Intel. Since then all OS9 software no longer works.
There is a small chance you may be able to browse/search the CD's folders for images as the photo objects may be in jpg/gif/png format. Try opening finder, select the CD. and search with the text box in the upper right corner in Finder.

My WeatherLink for Mac OS 10.5.8 was working fine until this morning. Then, I was unable to open and I got either of the following messages: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /Applications/Mac OSX...

I was able to fix this problem on my system (running Mac OS 10.6.6) by setting WeatherLink.app to run in 32-bit mode. This setting is available in the info panel for the app.
