Hi. Is it turning off or going into hibernation?. Hibernation saves all the settings you are using and shuts down to save battery power, when you reboot it all your running apps should re-appear.

Pointer not moving

seebhujunvij

If the pointer is not moving I would try connecting a USB mouse to the computer. If it works then you need to reinstall the driver for the notebooks Touchpad. After the reinstall of the driver you still have trouble then there is a problem with the Touchpad its self and you will need to contact Asus about getting it repaired.

Let me know if you have any more problems or questions

ASUS Lap top computer, 2 months old' makes loud fan type noises at each start up.

Hi

Its normal for a laptop computer or a desktop computer to spin its fans at maximum speed during start up - its part of the power on self test.

If the fan is very loud like on this video the sound is very bad -

that would be a bad fan, constant bad noise. but if your fan only makes noise in start up, its normal.

your warranty should cover the replacement of the fan if its bad.

FUNCTION KEY:(

try, right click on my computer icon>properties>hardware tab>device manager>, then look down the list to your keyboard, click + sign, right click on keyboard select uninstal and then reboot notebook and keyboard will self install. If still not working your drivers may be corrupt and will need to be downloaded from the Asus support website.
