First of all you should make sure you have not paid the technician for the service call and new controller if that did not fix the problem. F9 errors are usually linked to controller or sensor faults. If replacing the controller has not helped then it is a sensor like a thermostat or motor speed etc. that is confusing the controller. In any case it the IFB authorised technician who can fix the problem as there is not much information available about this dishwasher.

Since the dishwasher is still under the standard warranty, I don't have to pay the techinician for the visits or even any parts that might have failed. The tech guys will probably take away the machine to the service center and inspect in detail. Thanks.

The technician has ordered a new diverter for the machine. Keeping fingers crossed. 24 days without the dishwasher...I am almost dead!

Problem fixed last evening. The diverter motor had developed an issue. Sorted out and the dishwasher is working again. Thanks!

good to hear it worked. Can be frustrating if you have to wait.

In fact, I must add, it was not repaired by the technician. It was a DIY!

  • Sam Apr 26, 2014

Make sure the DIY job does not affect your appliance warranty. Hopefully it should work smoothly

I talked about warranty with the technician, but he said it is OK. He came to check the machine & certified it to be ok. But I am seeing white temporary film deposit on dishes after washing. I have increased salt level settings; let us see how it fares.

My one day old dishwasher Neptune SX1 machine is displaying F5 on 1 hr 32 min cycle...Engineer is not able to fix problem

no you are not foolish--just been taken by a person who doesn't give a dam about the product and the company he works for.
Your course of action is now to get onto the company who makes the unit and send in a written complaint about the machine and the service and demand a new unit under warranty or a refund of the purchase price
you can in the mean time find another authorized service agent and ask for a warranty fix to the machine

My ifb dishwasher show F5 and could not complete it's cycle

If your IFB dishwasher is a Neptune DX model, Error code F5 according to the owners manual is "Inadequate water supply"

Inadequate water supply • Make sure the water input tap is totally open and that there is no water cut.
• Close the water input tap, separate the water input hose from the tap and clean the filter at
the connection end of the hose.
• Restart your machine, contact the service if the error resumes.

F9 still appears after unplunging and replug

Hi Don, this is Z. Thank you for your post!

If you are receiving error code F9, it typically indicates that the maximum oven door unlock time has exceeded. If resetting the power did not clear the error code, it would be advisable to contact an experienced appliance repair tech to assist further since your range may possibly have a communication error with the EOC (Electronic Oven Control), lock motor assembly, door light switch or door latch assembly. Hope this helps!

F9 in on the display

I am assuming the F9 is showing up only in one of the two drawers. It means the controller has a fault. Cannot do much short of replacing it.

Have you tried to turn the power off and back on?

It looks something like this. You could try checking with the controller on the other unit but don't want to end up with two faulty ones. So may have to order one and try.

Hope this helps. Please rate the solution.

F9 beeping

Its a most common problem in this kind of model. The reason for F9 display in your washer is that due to a electronic malfunction that occured in your unit. You cant replace any of the faulty part in your washer and its very difficult to identify the faulty area in your unit. So if you think you can do it by your own then the answer is "NO"..
Best way to fix your problem is that call your authorized service centre and they will fix your problem for sure..

Error 01 code on led screen and dishwasher does not function.

Errror 01 is a leak detector. In the base of the unit the is a sensor to check for water. If this sensor is activated it will stop the unit from running. The water must be removed, in order for the sensor to reset. It will not reset if it senses water in the base. You can remove the to toe panel, and open the center compartment where the electronic control is mounted. On the top left side there is a series of LEDs that indicate the exact nature of the error code.
