That would be the water heater, but if the unit is taking out the RCB it could also be that the earth leakage allowance on your consumer unit is too low or there is a problem with the mains cable suppressor (if the unit has one).

SOURCE: My Asko D1716 dishwasher works fine apart from the soap dispenser. It won't open to release the soap.

Most likely it's a corroded door catch or a bad solenoid. Hopefully it's not the main control board. You'll need a repair manual or technician. A work around would be to use detergent tablets in the compartment

Asko D1606 won't fill, and sounds like pump is running

Hi,

This means the unit has taken on water to the base pan and will not allow you to do anything until the water is removed. Once the water is gone you will need to locate or fine why water reached the base pan to correct this problem. Most common reasons, too much subs, leaking hose, leaking drain hose behind the unit and traveled back into the unit. Without seeing the unit the cause would just be a guess. I hope this helps. If you unplug the unit allow 2-3 days to dry out, this may allow you to run the unit and locate the original cause of your leak. good luck

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on the description you posted..." detergent door will not stay shut and there is a constant noise coming from the door like a solenoid is stuck open " You are bang on...unfortunately.

This is a red flag. In these scenario's 99% of the time the control and Combi-dispenser are both at fault. The control is no longer available according to the "repairclinic.com" website, but they have this note...

**Control board kit *Note: Consumers can contact Asko at (800)898-1879 option 3 for further assistance.**

The buzz you hear is indeed the solenoid for the dispenser, the control is sending voltage to the soleniod all the time.

If the component has failed both will need to be replaced, you can inspect and check the dispenser with an ohm meter and visually inspect the control board.

Having said this, If you remove the door and control panel and visually inspect the control you will most certainly see burnt circuits, relays or resistors on the control. i.e

**Be sure to turn the power off to the dishwasher before servicing...safety first**

The associated output components on the control unit for the dispenser to check are as follows,

Combi dispenser... Q12, R50, R58, D21, D23, P2 3 ( these are identified this way on the control unit. )

The last available control part number is # 80 579 31-4 and a good control if you can find one, should resemble the image here...

As for the dispenser, the original Asko number is 88 011 39-77, but now subs to 1399543 and is available at "repairclinic.com" It will look like this, front & back...

I have Asko D3350 dishwasher and the Detergent dispenser does not open. We were told to remove the whole dispenser and soak it in water but how do i remove it?

to remove the dispenser is not a 30 second job. You have to remove the door front with a T20 (torx) screwdriver (don't forget the 2 screws in the middle of the door at the bottom) Then you can get to the screws that hold the dispenser in place. Make sure you remove the solenoid from the dispenser BEFORE soaking in water. A more likely issue is either the solenoid on the dispenser has failed and will show signs of burning and/or damage or one of the transistors on the control board may have blown.

My Asko D1976 dishwasher is not cleaning dishes properly. There is a lot of clumped detergent left in the dispenser after wash cycles are complete, and many of the dishes have dried-on food left on them. ...

First of all, don't pre-rinse the dishes. Check the water temperature, it should be between 120 and 140 degrees. Be sure you are not partially blocking the dispenser door so that it isn't opening.
