What you could try is,,leave the flash drive in then shut down your laptop and start it up with the flash drive in,,it may find it and want to install the drivers for it.or ask your laptop to search for added new hardwear.

If the flash drive is not detected, it means there is damage to hardware.

Flassh drive hardware malfunction, there are two types
1. Cracked solder.
Solution: Open the flash drive casings, heat the tin solder.

2. Resistor (R) broken
Solution: Open the casing flash drive, flash drive instead of resistors.

Every tym i insert my pendrive it says insert disk into the drive...???removable disk appears..but it doesnt opns...is there any solution...plz do help me

Assumption 1
Flash drive is damaged, the normal operating system.
Solution
If the flash drive is detected (eg; detected the flash drive in drive G), but it says "insert the disk into the drive ..."
1. Download software JetFlash Online Recovery (open link - select type software - select OS Windows - select language English - select product JetFlash All Series - Download).
2. Insert the flash drive
3. Open file OnLineRecovery.exe - Select the volume of the device - Repair the drive & keep data existed - START. If it fails, select Repair the drive & erase all data - START.

If the flash drive is not detected (not detected as drive G),
the above solution can not be used.

Assumption 2
Normal flash drive, the operating sytem is corrupt
Solution
Flash drives do not require drivers (plug and play). Because flash drives plug and play, it should be, when the flash drive inserted detects the operating system without installing drivers. But, if the operating system does not detect, the possibility of operating systems corupt. The cause is a virus corrupt your operating system.

1. Download and install anti-virus Avira or AVG (free).
2. Update anti-virus
3. Scan your computer.
4. Repair the operating system.
5. If no virus is detected, the possibility of operating system is corrupt.

I hope this information helps.

If the flash drive is detected but error, there has been damage to the partition table or firmware. But, if the flash drive is not detected, there has been a hardware damage.

Solutions, flash drive detected but error
To fix the SanDisk flash drive, use the U3 LaunchPad software. This software can be used to saved data, repair the firmware and update the firmware.
For Win Xp, download from here SanDisk Support
To Win 7, download from here SanDisk Support

Solutions, flash drive not detected
Chances are, there has been cracked solder. To fix this, open the flash drive casing, use a soldering iron to heat the solder component flash drive.

Hope it helps

My 8 gb Transcend D33193 is not detected.

Try to download software called USBDLM install it to the computer. Then it will auto detect your USB if your flash drive doesn't have problem on the hardware itself. If there is a hardware problem reformat or run scandisk USB disk.

Re: flash drive

First thing to do is to connect the flash drive to your computer via USb port, then if the flash drive is already detected and computer is done installing the driver for it, Just double click Mycomputer icon then you should see there the flash drive, double click on the flash drive then after that you can just copy the pics from your computer and paste it to the flash drive...

Note if the falsh drive is not detected by the computer try to connect it on a different USb port and hopefully it will be detected that time...

Hope that helps..........

Flash drive

Hi phun2008

Did your question get answered? (I'm not sure what "no thanks" was in response to.)

Your flash drives should work fine w/ Windows XP. They should be detected by the operating system as mass storage devices - plug-n-play - w/ no need for drivers installtion, etc.

You may, however, experience detection issues w/ them on systems w/ older USB hardware. If the flash drives are USB 2.0 drives, they will not be detected on systems running USB 1.1 or earlier - regardless of the OS (operating system) installed.

On the other hand, if they are USB 1.1 flash drives, they should be detected fine on both older and newer USB ports as USB 2.0 is "backward compatible".

I hope this helps.

Imation Swivel Flash Drive Cant detect

Check it another computer. If drive is still powerless, then you most likely have a failed flash drive.
