Here is my problem, it is a bit confusing and hard to explain but stay with me:
Alright, I have a touchstone telephony modem that wont connect to a Netgear wireless N router.
The part that is hard to understand is that the two function fine with other PC's and Consoles but not with each other.
For starters I am getting all of this info from two different setups, however I DO bring my Xbox 360 and Wireless router to both establishments.
I hope this diagram will help to diagnose this problem.
KEY:
HM-home modem
FM-foreign PC
WR-wireless router
HPC-home PC
FPC-foregin PC
XBX-xbox 360
(-)-connection
(~)-wireless connection
HM-WR-HPC~XBX yes
HM-WR-HPC yes
HM-WR~XBX yes
FM-WR no
FM-WR~XBX no
FM-XBX yes
FM-FPC yes (using to make messege)
3-4 weeks ago every thing was all yes.
Because of the mere fact that it changed so suddenly over time I feel as though it is my fault and not the hardware's.(i.e A question more suited for Shelock Holmes than the Geek Squad.)
Please help as soon as possible and please tell me if I am leaving out anything major.
Thank you for reading :)- C.R.

- Well, today we made the FPC wireless and I had to repower. It is working, for now...
Trying to understand the connections. It looks like the problem is FM-WR. Everything else works. Are you powering everything off when you move the router from one modem to the other?

I switched to Comcast Digital Voice, and I have an ADT alarm system. I rewired the alarm from the outside box and spliced it into a standard telephone cord, the cord plugs into the back of my Arris modem. I tested the alarm by calling ADT (on my cell phone), warning them I was going to test it, and did so. They got the signal, no problem. I had plugged my single house phone into the second jack in the Arris modem, got a dial tone. Bam! I'm done, right? Now here is where it gets funky. Over the next couple of days, my friends were telling me that they were leaving messages for me at the house to no avail. I figured out that the house phone wasn't receiving calls. I could call out, but I couldn't receive them. There would be a single blink on the Tel2 light when I called the house on my cell phone, but the phone never rang. When I swapped the ADT line and the house line, I could make and receive calls, but the ADT line (in Tel2) couldn't call the alarm center. So: Tel1 seems to work fine. Tel2 can make calls but not receive them when the house phone is plugged into it, but can't make calls when the ADT line is plugged in. I tried using a simple phone jack splitter in Tel1 and it seems to function identically - it has the same problem. This makes me think that the issue isn't simply a modem issue. Ideas? Should I reverse some of the wires for the ADT line?

I get a busy signal when I pick up the phone. My telephone green light on the modem is constantly blinking and there is no light on the bottom battery ....I have no clue if that light is supposed to be on or not. I thought maybe someone called here and did not hang up their phone????. The only calls on my phone are from those pesky 800 scamming credit card creeps. Help!!
