There can be used an a micro switch or an optical switch in the proximity of the cover with dust or a little notch thats broken off that was on the cover or its loose. or not functional by ordinary brass oxydation spray carefully contact spray or simply wd40 if it is that microswitch. or clean that optical switch from dust dry with a canister compressed air. .

How to Clean and Disinfect your Keyboard and Mouse

Recent studies have shown that your average desktop Keyboard and Mouse have about 400 times more germs than the average toilet seat and are one of the most germ infected objects in the household.

This is understandable as you are probably touching it after you went to the loo , after you had your lunch , shaked someone's hand , touched a not to clean door handle to get in the room and then there is of coarse always the few drops of coffee and some cigarette ash in there if you smoke.

This combined with little hard to reach places and a relatively light free environment makes an ideal breading ground for germs.

For more info , see this article on the BBC web page. Click Here

So now , we need to clean our keyboards on a regular basis. My keyboard gets a lot of mileage so I have to clean it on a regular basis and learned a few tricks in the process which I will share in this tip.

This tip is only applicable to Desktop or freestanding keyboards and mice. Do not do this on your laptop.

Okay , so there are basically 3 steps.

#1 Clean off Dust and other solid objects.
#2 Clean off stains and other stubborn dirt
#3 Disinfect

You will need
  1. Vacuum Cleaner (not mandatory but recommended)
  2. Compressed air can
  3. Liquid alcohol based disinfectant in spray bottle
  4. Cotton swabs / Q-tips
  5. A clean microfiber cloth

#1 Clean off Dust and other solid objects.

To do this , go out and buy a can of compressed air from your local department store or electronics dealer. Get someone to hold the vacuum cleaner near to where you are working and start blowing compressed air in between the keys of your keyboard.

The vacuum will catch most of the debris and make for easier cleanup afterward if your keyboard hasn't gotten attention in a while.

#2 Clean off stains and other stubborn dirt

Now , dip a q-tip in some of your alcohol disinfectant and rub it between your keys to clean the sides of every key.

2391ddd.jpg

Then , take your cloth and dampen a small area with some disinfectant or water and clean the top of the keys and the larger areas between keys. Do the same for your mouse.

#3 Disinfect

Now , use your compressed air at a reasonable distance from your keyboard and while spraying air , spray some disinfectant into the airstream and onto your keyboard. This will ensure that even the spaces between keys are disinfected. Now simply wipe off excess disinfectant from the top of the keyboard with the dry end of your cloth.

Also use some disinfectant on your cloth to wipe down your mouse.

And there you go , one germ free clean keyboard and mouse.

Please remember to rate this tip if you found it useful.

Suzuki gsxr 750 slingshot cranks but wont start.

For a motorcycle engine to run you need compression, ignition (spark) and fuel. Quite often with a bike like a Suzuki if the plugs get even a little wet but otherwise look like great plugs, the motorcycle will not start. So, new plugs are a good place to start, however if you put in new plugs and try to start a few times and have fuel but no spark the new plugs may become unable to start also.

FIRST check to see it you have spark at the spark plugs, then remove the plugs and either do a compression test with a gauge OR put a finger over the plug hole and turn it over and if you have adequate compression the engine will blow your finger off of the hole when it comes up on the compression stroke.

If you have a carburetted bike you can check for fuel by taking off the air filter and operating the throttle a few times full open in which case the accelerator pump should eject a spray of fuel into the carburetor throat. With Carb or Fuel Injection you could also spray some fuel into the carb throat or the induction module throat while turning the engine over with spark at the plugs. If you have spark and compression but no fuel th eengine will fire when you spray the fuel into it.

Carburetor

It sounds like you have a dirt particles in the carb jets or jets, the jest and air bleed orifices are so small it only takes a very tiny piece of dirt or metal shaving to plug them. Remove the carbs and clean them with compressed air and car spray, do not use any other type of cleaner other than carb spray and compressed air to blow out the jest after spraying the. If you are careful removing the float bowl you won't even need any parts.

When I'm spraying the finish (nitrocellulose lacquer) the spray is more like a lot of droplets than a good, even spray. The the finish dries pretty rough, like orange peel.

First make sure that the air flow is not restricted. If air flow is good and the droplets are still too big and not leveling out then you need to thin the lacquer a little. Thin with lacquer thinner a little at a time til you can achieve a fine spray. If the ambient temperture where you are spraying is high then a little lacquer retarder might be necessary. A retarder slows the drying process giving more time for the lacquer to level out.

My FZR 1000 cannot start. I have changed the spark plugs, checked the ignition coils and they are OK. I can see spark when I crank the engine. The carburattors were dirty, but I cleaned them. The fuel...

spray a little carb spray in the intake, open the trottle the whole way spray the carb spray and shut the slides try to start it. what happens did it try to start?? if so your dealing with carb stuff. i know you said that you cleaned the carbs but there a lot of little holes as im sure you know. pull your air/fuel screws and spray with carb cleaner and compressed air.
if it didn't try your valves could be out of spec. to tight and your losing compression. try the carb cleaner and let me know

My paint gun is pulsating instead of spraying evenly

It looks like you have a Devilbiss SRI.

Probaby the hole in the lid is blocked, The gun sprays, paint gets sucked out, no air can get back in through the little hole in the lid to replace so it stops spraying, pressures even up it sprays abit more, and so on.

Either that or you have a damaged fluid tip.

My Mouse Wont Work Good

Generally any mouse should be taken apart and cleaned every year. My first encounter of a frozen mouse was years ago. I had opened it up and found so much dust and residue inside of it I had to brush it out first before blowing it out with compressed air. Use a spray bottle that is dry and empty to blow it with. Have a terry cloth below the area you will direct the air pressure to incase something such as the thumb wheel falls out. I recommend that all loose parts are taken out before cleaning. Draw a scetch if needed how to reassemble the mouse. A digital camera works best taking photos as you take it apart

Apple super mouse scroll button will not operate. tried cleaning oil off of it with napkin & water but still did not help. A new super mouse works great. but need to repair malfunctioning mouse Any...

Try unplugging the mouse, take a paper towel dampened with rubbing alcohol, and with the mouse upside-down, rub the scroll ball on the paper towel.
Then try using compressed air (the spray cans available at electronics stores) and spray in the cracks around the ball.
There is a way to get these super mice open, but it isn't pretty and doesn't always work. I don't recommend opening up this mouse..
Another alternative is replacement... There's alot of aftermarket mice and almost all will work on your mac with just plugging them in...

The Sony TA-FB930R amp I have is giving a intermitten clicking, any idea what causes this

TA-FB930R. Unplug the power chord; all other wires can remain attached. Remove the top cover. Get some compressed air (aerosol, pump or compressor). Pull off the volume button and remove the little circuit board behind it (Beware of short circuit, even with power off!). This gives you enough room to blow compressed air behind the front circuit board to clean the selector (the culprit). While at it, clean the entire amp with compressed air.
First of: All electrical circuits collect dust > dust collects moisture > moisture vaporizes, making the problem go away temporarily after 10 minutes.... The second biggest culprits in general are: Oxidized connectors (use special spray and move them a little.). Loose components (circular crack around component leads, caused by heating and cooling of the circuit boards; solder them again). Worn or dirty potentiometers (tone/volume controls etc.). Clean, spray or replace. And third; check for burn spots and moist pointing at fried or leaky components. 9/10 you won't need a manual to fix electronics.
