You might have a problen with your laser lens, umd drive or umd its self. do any other umds work?if not and you still have a warranty i strongly recommend you get a new one before your warranty expires, if youd hate to send it back to sony because they might give me you the new PSP that cant be downgraded, you could just open up your PSP and clean the UMD drive (once you open your PSP the warranty Expires straight away,so that wouldnt be something i would do)if you still want to do it follow this simple steps.

1. How to open your PSP

Tools needed:

One small size Phillips Screwdriver, if you dont know what that is you should probably not try to open your PSP, ok its something that look like this X

On picture 1 you will see the 5 screws that need to be removed to open the PSP, marked with red arrows. If you are not going to remove the whole inside of the PSP then dont bother to remove the 2 screws marked with green arrows. There is also no need to remove the whole label inside the battery compartment. I just did it for this picture.

it makes me type baclwards and frezzes and makes a - psp1.jpg

2. How to remove the LCD screen

Its quite easy to remove the LCD screen, just use a small flat screwdriver and put in the side like you see in the picture and pry it open. Now dont slip, you dont want to put a big scratch in the LCD screen.

psp2.jpg

Now it will look like this, and you will see the screen is attached with 2 orange flat cables. Always be extra careful when opening this type of clips, they can very easily be damaged.

3. How to fix stuck L/R buttons

This is how it looks like when you have the stuck button problem, its not very common, but I have seen it a few times. Fortunately its easy to fix. It should be noted that Sony have fixed this issue as far as I know on new productions, so new comit makes me type baclwards and frezzes and makes a - psp3.jpgldnt be worried about this.

psp3.jpg

Before you start doing this, check what part of the plastic that actually get stuck and then just use a nail file to remove some of the plastic, put it back, test again if it still get stuck. If it does then file down some mit makes me type baclwards and frezzes and makes a - psp4.jpg be careful not to remove to much or you will end up with a lose button instead.

try blowing out all of the dust from your keyboard using a fine air blower from an air compressor making VERY sure there is no MOISTURE in the lines.
dust causes static which causes lots of problems with a computer and its parts
or if this does not fix the problem
Click start control panel keyboard you can change your settings there
or you might have uninstall the keyboard then restart your computer then reinstall it and its drivers
click start control panel keyboard hardware then properties you hould see driver details and have options to,update driver, roll back driver, uninstall
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to keyboard you might see a yellow question mark ? right click update driver
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it
diconnect the keyboard then reconnect it then reinstall the driver
make sure the lead has a secure seating if applicable or the usb device
test leads attached from motherboard to hard drive make sure connections are good and dust free
you might have to many programs running at the same time try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs also scroll to the bottom of your screen toolbar right click select task manager applications & processes you will see what is running if you see something you dont need running select end now you might have a virus freezing/slowing your computer you might need to install more RAM

When it is below frezzing my Isuzu makes a clicking sound instead of starkting but in warm weather it starts all the time ?

more then likely the battery is going bad. in cold weather it takes a good (cca) cold cranking amps, battery to turn engine over. but in warm weather the engine is not as cold and therefore needs less cranking amps. thats why you hear clicking when trying to start car in cold. it is the solinoid clicking and not enough power for starter to turn it over.

Frezzes every time I **** it a tiny bit

try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs then click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to recover bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive then defragment your hard drive
then you should test or replace all leads make sure they are securely seated and are not bad/faulty that are attached to your hard drive the ones from your motherboard
hope this helps

This problem generally occurs if the ds card or sd memory card corrupted.

try to turn it on without ds card ...
maybe you need to reformat the sd card, do not forget to make backups first.

Computer making noise

Monitor clicks, pops, or makes other noises. Issue: Monitor clicks, pops, or makes other noises.
Cause: This issue could be caused by any of the below possibilities:
  1. Monitor degaussing.
  2. Monitor changing resolution.
  3. Monitor syncing with the video card.
  4. Monitor warming up.
Solution: Noise when turned on or off It is normal for standard computer CRT monitors to make a click, pop, crackle, hum, buzz, or other type of noises when they are first turned on or turned off.
Noise when monitor goes into standby mode When the monitor enters a "standby mode" or "power savings mode" this is similar to the monitor being turned off. It is completely normal for the monitor to make a noise when the monitor enters this mode.
Noise when opening Microsoft Windows or other operating system or when opening a game When a computer opens its operating system, for example, a computer opening Microsoft Windows or when a user runs a computer game it is very common that the monitor will need to switch its resolution of the operating system or game. When switching resolutions it is normal for the computer monitor to make some type of noise and/or for the computer monitor to flick or flash.
Noise during normal operation If the computer monitor click, pops, or flashes while it is being used this is not normal operation. It is very likely that the monitor may be failing or a component within the monitor has already failed and could also potentially be a fire hazard. We highly recommend that the monitor be repaired, replaced, and/or looked at by a qualified technician.
Additional information:
  • See document CH000302 for additional information and other noises that may come from
