We recently purchased a 2007 gmc enoy denali with 30k and we have had a few sensor / electronic issues and the warranty has covered everything and these issues have been resolved. However, recently we...
Why would you have a lot of carbon build up on
a 4 year old vehicle. I wouldn't listen to anything a dealer tells you.
You can not tell if a cam is out of balance.
Those issues are designed into and taken care of
when the cam is made.
Start by asumming the original owner did nothing
Change all fluids,brakes,power steering,trans,coolant,
spark plugs,fuel & air filters,etc,everything.
Now you have a base to work from.
Remove the ducting and shine a light into the intake beyond the
throttle plate. If it is clean the dealer is full of it.
Spray the Throttle with CRC and the MAF Sensor, with CRC MAF Cleaner
Strip all 4 brakes, clean off all rust, machine rotors or file off ridges on rotors, and put anti-seize
on pad and caliper sliding abutments.
Check drive shafts for u-joint play
Do not trust a pro to do any of this correctly,do yourself.
Then get back with more on the clunking and bumping.
Stay away from dealers!
