My screen is black with no picture

If you turn on the computer and the lights come on and the fans start but you see no picture, try turning up your volume to listen for the windows startup sound. If you hear the windows startup sound it is likely your video card or the monitor on the laptop. If you hear no sound the power could be faulty or the computer could be completely fried. Every time i turn on my laptop i get a massage. this program cannot display the webpage

You will probably need to disable something in your startup using msconfig. Go to Start>Run>msconfig then press enter. Disable all unnecessary startup items. You will also want to uninstall any unneeded programs, then do a registry cleanup. It sounds like you are just trying to connect to broken link on startup.

No sound

Try this:

Click Start, select Run, type "services.msc" without the quotes and press Ok. Services window will open up. In that window, select the Windows Audio Service and the status and startup type of the same. In case the startup type is disabled, double click on it and select the startup type as Automatic. After that right click on this service and click Start. In case the Start is greyed out, click on Restart. Now check for the sound.

Turning off the startup tune.

Go to the menu, settings ,sounds.. turn off startup sounds.. you should have sounds for when you take a picture and maybe a few more.... If you can't turn the sound off you should be able to lower the volume of the sound you don't want so as you can't hear it....
Hope this helps.....
