Question about Midland 75-785 Handheld CB Radio
Have tried it with fresh batteries and also the cigarette adaptor cord that came with the radio. after 4-5 minutes I have to turn it off and let it set and cool off, it's to hot to hold in a bare hand.

Check the interior and find out where the hot spot is then replace it.

Buy a magnetic mount CB antenna ($35.00 for a K30 magnet mount cb antenna) and put it on the fridge, or microwave, or a appliance thats heavy in metal (gives good ground) and it'll work fine. A base antenna will be even better though. www.copper.com for antenna's and radios
