Two ports on Walbro carb - which line hooks to which?
Many comments on the fuel line hook-up - but I need to know which line hooks to the two ports on the carb itself. On from the tank and one from the primer bulb - please tell me which hooks where on the carb??? This is such a great site for a resource. Thanks for the professional advice!!!!

Re: Two ports on Walbro carb - which line hooks to which?
The longest, and sometimes smaller in diameter of the two fuel lines, goes from
the carburetor to the bottom of the tank. Leave enough slack in this
line so that the filter that attaches to the end will rest comfortably at the bottom of the tank.
fuel line goes from the primer bulb to just inside the tank,
(about an inch). make sure that you get the right size fuel lines. The
plastic coupling goes on the end of this line, inside the tank. This
keeps the line from pulling out of the tank.
(HINT): When feeding the lines through the tank holes, cut the lines at an
angle. They will feed much easier into the holes. You can than cut them
off square, once you know that you have enough to work with

must be a small tiller to have a walbro carb on it most of these have a hole drilled in throttle cam ("D" looking thing on top) that the cable has a "L " hook that goes into it cable clamp must me loosed to allow a 45 degree entry of "L" hook into "D" plate
hello sir, my machine will only start when pumping primmer bulb or squirting fluid in the carburetor than stops. the fuel line has broken off, in most small carburetors this is a ongoing problem.old fuel will crystallize when left in tank for a long time.plugging up ports, fuel lines, small screen in carburetor.fuel lines will dissolve clogging carb.this is why it will run when the choke is on creating a vacuum to where there is fuel forced in the carb to rum, also the gas will evaporate leaving the oil behind clogging up carb.the thing to do is remove carb. and clean out, replacing gaskets or fuel line if necessary.use carb cleaner to clean out carb.make sure to make note where fuel line go.the fuel filter broke off of fuel line letting debris get in carb plugging it up.the muffler is known to clog up a lot on these machines where they want run. the compression should be 60 to 120 lbs any thing below 60 is junk. when adjusting the carb screws turn in all the way than turnout 1 1/4 turns turn in slow until machine runs also you need to check for spark by removing plug and grounding against engine to check spark, ok.a new spark plug would be a good ideal too , if you are going to make these repairs use new fuel line and filter, hope this helps, any comments welcome, thank you, !!
The Walbro has two connections on it for the fuel line. My Walbro has one connection on the side of the idle screw and main fuel adjusting screw. This connection hooks up to the suction side of the primer bulb. Usually the shorter stem. (You actually **** fuel through the carb instead of pushing it through.) On the other side of the carb is the other hook up. It draws fuel from the tank. This line will connect to the side of the tank that has the filter. The other side of the tank is your return and it hooks to the other connection on the primer bulb. Usually the longer stem.
Fuel filter to bottom of carb. The suction port of primer to the top of carb outlet line to other port to tank.
To tell which port is outlet put your finger on one port and push bulb if the bulb collapses and doesn't return then that is the inlet (suction) side.
ok If you have a Walbro WT series carb "without" a built on primer bulb
here it is. First off if the fuel lines disintegrated you MUST
disassemble it and clean it out. The MOST infintesimle speck of gas
line trapped, can allow good prime and bad operation. OK? Don't be lazy
on this. Just be delicate removing the flaps gasket and diaphram. ZAMA
GND-12 Is the replacement Gasket and diaphram kit fot that carb. Use a
cleaner, compressed air or blow good thru it. OK Now...Primer bulb,
Carb, and Fuel tank, re connects: Smaller Diameter line comes from Gas
tank (Connect filter screen to this in tank) to the short Straight
brass carb connector. Primer bulb suction goes to the bent carb brass
connector. If small line brings fuel "in" this other line sucks it back
"Thru the primer bulb" and the blow side of the primer bulb sends it
back to the fuel tank! So...Small Line brings fuel "TO/IN" carb thru
short brass connect on carb. Other carb connect goes to bulb suction
"IN", Then primer bulb "Pressure OUT" goes thru the larger tube "back
to fuel tank". Trust me I know how frustrating a simple diagram is to
find online fo this set up. And if you have a carb problem on top of
the hook up uncertainty you got frustration. Not only was online help
hard to find (Mfg...etc NFG at all!) My local repairshop in BBrook NJ
could not tell me how!!! and thats no lie! Walbro has a "generic" carb
diagram but no "hook up info" specifically. Poulan don't list it
either. And these things routinly fall to pcs. all 3 of mine crumpled
together on yr. 3 of use.
