The capacity depends on the exact model number. The TBX18TABWW and similar models are 17.6 cu. ft. The refrigerator holds 13.6 cu. ft. and the freezer 4 cu. ft. This model is 64.25" tall, including the hinge, 28" wide, and 31.25" deep.

The GE S series, including TBX18SIBRWW, are 18.2 cubic feet; the specs are 13.04 cu. ft. for the fridge and 5.13 for the freezer. Total height (including the hinge is) 64.75", 29.375" wide and 31.5" deep including the handle. (It takes up 58" with the door open.)

The J series has the same total capacity and dimensions as the S series.

Remember to leave 0.75" free on both sides and 1" at the back and top for air to circulate around the refrigerator.

In order to calculate cubic feet you must multiply the LxWxH (where L=length, W=width and H=height or depth) making sure all three numbers are in feet. For example: a box 3' long by 2' wide by 1.5' high would contain 9 cubic feet of space. (3x2x1.5). If one or more of the measurements is in inches then you must convert it to feet or the others to inches. If all three measurements are in inches multiply them and then divide your answer by 1728 to give cubic feet because their are 1728 cubic inches in a cubic foot. (12x12x12). For example the same problem above in inches would be: 36x24x18=15,552cubic inches. Divide 15,552 by 1728 = 9 cubic feet

Open the refrigerator door. Measure the depth of the refrigerator

from the front edge of the refrigerator opening to the back wall. Make sure that you measure in feet and not in inches. Note the depth measurement on a piece of paper.

2 Measure the height and the width of your refrigerator's opening. Note the two additional measurements on your paper. Multiply the depth, height and width measurements to obtain the refrigerator's cubic foot measurement.

3 Take the same measurements from the interior of the freezer. Multiply those measurements together to get the cubic foot size of your freezer.

4 Add the cubic foot measurement of the refrigerator interior to the cubic foot measurement of the freezer interior. This gives you the total cubic foot measurement for the refrigerator.

Normally refrigerators have stickers inside that state the cubic feet. If that's missing you must measure the width X depth X height to get cubic feet. WxDxH= cubic feet.

It's always nice when doing a problem two different ways gives the same answer.

Inch is a measure of length and cubic feet is a measure of volume. There is no conversion between them. It's just like trying to convert inches to gallons, it can't be done.

Just measure the the inside of the fzr and frige and multiply length x width x hieght this will give you your cubic feet. (you will have to convert inches to feet) It sounds like your defrost timer, heating element in freezer, or the Hi temp sensor for the defrost cycle is bad more than likely the timer or element. good luck

get a measureing tape measure inside dimensions multiply them together eg: a freezer with an inside dimension of 2' X 2' X 3' would equal 12 cubic feet if want an exact value measure in inches 24" X 24" X 36" = 20736 and divide by 1728 will give you cubic feet cool eh.. where did I get the 1728? (12 X 12 X 12) =1728 converts cubic inches to cubic feet Good Luck let me know when you pour that cement pad for under your shed I tell you how many yards to order
