Question about Miele Washing Machines
Mielie prestige plus 6 washing machine suddenly stopped working after we moved it. The drum is not spinning and there is a little clicking noise. I cannot hear the motor / but maybe it is running.

Travioso, there was two service flashes out on this model concerning the seal and bearing which means they had an issue with this washer. The howling noise you are hearing is the bearing and will need the new designed triple seal and bearing kit. This should be covered under your warranty, I believe it is 5 years. The numbers for the service flashes are TDL-0048A-B. Call Maytag and inquire about these service flashes, these should be covered. Catriver.

Perhaps the exit hose behind your machine is not at the correct height, about 3 feet from ground. Your pump pumps the waste over this height, into your standpipe or sink; check this out.

Distribute the load of clothes when you put it in. Make sure they are balanced properly. If it's thumping during the spin cycle, stop it, open it up, move some clothes from the fuller side to the less full side, and see if that helps. Replace the springs inside the machine which suspend the washing drum. Open it up, take a look of it. Perhaps they're all saggy and this is permitting excessive vibration.
Put something under the machine to stop it from transmitting the vibrations to the floor of the house. An old sock folded several times and placed under each of the four feet may help. Rubber or foam will also work. Also, make certain the machine is level from front to back and side to side. Most washing machines have a large weight attached to the drum, usually a concrete block. It's supposed to prevent too much vibration. Check that one or more of the bolts holding it on haven't come loose.
