There's a good chance the pop you heard was a failing electrolytic capacitor (they POP when they blow sometimes) either in the power section or the inverter section or both.
Any caps in these sections that look bulged at the top, or bulged/leaking at the bottom (look for discoloration of the circuit board around the base of the capacitor) need to be replaced.
If you repeatedly turn it off and on, eventually it'll probably stay on, but every time you turn it off, the unit will get harder and harder to start up until one day it just won't.
Sometimes you have to do the opposite to start it up and unplug it for some time and then try again.

If you aren't tech savvy, don't worry, read the rest of this solution and watch the videos.

If you are handy with a soldering iron and can identify the power supply and/or inverter / FM section for the backlights, an inexpensive handful of capacitors will likely fix you right up.
Match the capacitance on the capacitors. Go over voltage if you can, and still have them fit.
IE - it's not a bad idea to replace a 10V cap with a 16V or 25V or even a 50V, but don't replace a 680uF cap with a 500uF or a 1000uF (unless you are SURE it's only doing supply output ripple filtering,
and even then, you should go OVER, not under the uF rating).

Most of the caps that go are 10V 1000uF or 3300uF.

I found some great videos of the procedure (for many Samsungs with the same issue) on youtube.

Backlight related video here:

As you can see, this issue spans plasma TVs, as well as large and small LCD TVs and monitors, amplifiers, computer power supplies and motherboards, and other electronic equipment.
The parts are cheap, and skill required is minimal.
A great parts source is Digi-Key, and you can order the parts online at
They typically cost under a dollar a piece plus a flat shipping rate.
The parts usually arrive one business day later.
If you watch the third video, you will see that even someone with no soldering experience can perform these repairs as demonstrated by the woman in the video.

Insturments not working 2000 jimmy

Check all your fuses.
Check all you charges (batteries, cigarrete lighter, radio)
is that works.
You have a brain problem.
It's been a while seen I have seen a Jimmy, but they have a relay switch to the brain, and OUT or the brain.
Sometimes, things just Die.
I don't know the check for the brain, but it is available in a Haynes book ($30)

HI I wont to know battery size to my watch must de cartier serial # 901014991

Not a good idea. What starts as a 'simple battery change' could result in $500 in repairs. It is a Cartier! If it is a fake Cartier then by all means destroy it. Just realize that you don't really know what you are doing and you are about to perform brain surgery on a very expensive watch.

Can't find main brain box on 2001 Hyundai xg300

Below is a picture of the location of the PCM ("brain") BUT (and there's always a but) I'm thinking there may be other issues and not sure how well you know the mechanic but have been in this business for 25 plus years and have found that if the PCM goes out in a Hyundai that the vehicle will just not run. In most cases if you are getting a repeat code then it's either a sensor or a wiring issue. What trouble code keeps on popping up ? I say this because a rich or lean condition can be many things from an oxygen sensor to the mass airflow sensor and many in between so If I knew what code you were getting this may narrow down the sensor or at least what circuit you are dealing with. Besides all that you just don'y replace the "brain" like any other part. It needs to be programmed to your vehicle and some learning procedures need to be done and I know that you would be lucky to get a "brain" for under $300.00 and would hate for you to waste that money. I'm just an outsider and you may know this mechanic personally but if he has already replaced a part with no change then the proper diagnostic testing was not done. There are tests to rule out parts/sensors so mistakes are not made and the proper part is replaced. If you are mechanically inclined I may be able to help you in diagnosing (for sure) what the problem is. I would need the trouble code your car shows in order to be able to do this. You can reply/comment here or email me directly at with all your information including the year and model of your vehicle. I don't mind helping and yes it won't cost you anything. I just have seen it too many times of people getting ripped off by mechanics or the wrong parts get replaced. Being in the business myself it makes it hard because so many mechanics rip off people who just don't know any better and it makes it ******* us few honest mechanics to have customers trust us. There was a recall on the PCM but it didn't say what the symptoms were. If your vehicle was produced between Aug, 24, 2000 & Sept. 30, 2000 your vehicle may have been part of that recall.

Parental control

Well there isn\'t a 100% perfect filter for anything, but videos on YouTube that contain material that other members think would be inappropriate for younger members get flagged. Once flagged, the video is no longer available to watch unless you have an account registered as 18 or older. If you stumble upon a flagged video, you will be unable to watch it until you log into an account and click a button that says confirm your age.

There isn\'t really a way to stop someone from making an account and lying about their age though.

Although, I don\'t think sexually explicit material is generally something one would find on YouTube, or atleast not something like ****.

I hope that helps, if you have any more questions, just let me know.
