In the directions it should either tell you to attach a wire from the radio to the ebrake so you can get video. i dont like that idea . first try and ground and ground the wire to the back of the unit. some manufactures incorparate a sequense ex- pull e brake three times then the video will work . what i have done with these is put a small button in the center console or somewhere out of the way . if you want to hook it up the way they want it i need to know what kind of car you have ...

Cant play dvd says parking brake on screen

you can not play dvd's when the car is not in park with the e brake on. I"m assuming it was factory installed or by a dealership??? they hook a line from it to your brake sensor. it's illegal to watch movies while you're driving. so long as theyre behind your seat and out of your view theyre legal, otherwise they hook it to your brakes.

You need to make sure the parking brake lead is hooked up from the radio to the parking brake, and that the parking brake is engaged.

When I try to play a movie, I only see the warning sign on the screen. I can hear the movie playing, but the warning will not go away. This is even when the vehicle is in park. Any ideas what may be wrong?

Bypass Code
1. Go into Am/Fm mode
2. Hit "setup" on the remote control
3. Enter 543210 on the remote, listening for the beep for each number entered
4. A new menu will appear. Touch the button that has the hammer/screwdriver on it in the upper left-hand part of the screen
5. Select Brake bypass to "ON" and hit the "X" near the bottom of the screen

Dvd wont play

If you hooked the parking brake wire up, sometimes those units require a double pulse. meaning that you set the brake for 1 sec., release for 1 sec, then reapply. then there will prob be a 3 to 5 sec delay before you get video. try that and see if it works. If not get a toggle switch from a local auto store and hook the parking brake to one pin and ground the other. Then treat it as the parking break.
