check to make sure it hasn't turned in the scope rings. I am sure if it is somewhat new simmions will fix as long as it falls within warranty

your best bet is to locate your local shooting club and ask someone experienced with specialist scopes. As for now, all I can suggest is to sight the scope in at 3x power. I'm not sure about a boresight on this scope, since is is at the extreme budget end of zoom scopes. If you mean it has a rangefinding (or ballistic) reticle, then you might try here: http://www.perry-systems.com/reticle_analysis.htm for basic usage guide. The reference distances will vary according to several factors, including but not exclusively: bullet weight, muzzle velocity, firing angle, windage adjust, wind direction.

When you click on "customer service" on the simmonsoptics.com website, it takes you to the Bushnell customer service web page.
The number for customer service that is given is:
The customer service rep. told me to "go to the Simmons web page".
Which, of course, takes me back to the Bushnell web page. It's a circular race track.......
In my opinion, Simmons/Bushnell has lousy customer service.
I bought a 2nd hand Simmons 3-9X50 scope (model #800479) that needed the screw on caps for the reticle adjustment screws. A small request, I thought.....one that should be easily remedied by calling Simmons/Bushnell customer support.
No dice. Customer support told me to spend $15 to send them the scope, and then they "will have to look around and find something that will fit."
Oh really??? Doesn't Simmons/Bushnell already KNOW the sizes of the parts they have?
Just send me the damn caps. They will cost Simmon/Bushnell no more than a buck apiece.
Then I asked for a user manual for said scope. No dice. The customer support lady told me to find the manual on the Simmons web page.
The Simmons web page doesn't provide user manuals online.
Their customer support needs a lot of improvement.

Is that the "Prairie Master"? I think Simmons is pretty uniform in that range of scopes--elevation adjustment should be the top dial and windage is on the side. The zoom locking ring should be in front of the eyepiece, with the zoom ring just forward of that.
You can download a generic Simmons scope manual from the Simmons site at this link: http://www.simmonsoptics.com/downloads/manuals/archive/HSI_Simmons%20Generic%20Scope%20Adjusting%20Instructions.pdf
