I just completed some research and found that this issue did appear in some boards. AMD in particular. If you updated your bios version recently, this may be the cause. If you roll back the bios update to the previous version this should resolve the issue. Otherwise, please provide your make and model of the board you are using and I will do my best to research this for you and find an answer to your problem.

USB Over Current Status Detected, Computer will shut down in 15 seconds

this message popped up because one of the device which you connected to the usb of the pc was overdrawing current i.e more than 5V DC. Hence, the built in system security gave this message and will shut down your computer in 15 seconds. In order to avoid this message first remove all the usb items connected to it and then connect one by one and detect the faulty one and replace.

System shutdown in 15 seconds

Shut the power down to the computer all the power and pull the power cord out, remove all usb devices except the mouse and keyboard, Turn the unit back on and see if this fixes the problem, if it doesn't then you will have to go into the computer and clear the c-mos this will allow you to get into the bios screen from there you can set up the computer again. Check you manual for the instructions on bios reset, most times it is just pins 2+3 that need to have a jumper installed to reset it. READ THE MANUAL PINS 2+3 APPEAR ON MANY THINGS ON THE CIRCUIT BOARD

Bios setup error

Unplug ALL Usb devices, that includes printers, cameras, pen drives, i.e. anything that plugs into a USB connector. Then try rebooting your computer. I bet your problem will no longer exist, but if it does, then you need to suspect a faulty USB connector on the motherboard or USB chipset located on the motherboard. Once the computer is booting normally without USB devices hooked up, you can start installing ONE Usb device at a time, until you find your defective USB device. The USB device drivers will need to be installed and computer rebooted at least once between the various devices. Not doing so will lead to confusion as to which USB device is causing your high current problem. It is also possible athough a bit unlikely that this procedure will cure your situation for the time being but look out for it in the future because it could be an early sign that one of your USB devices is going bad.

SYSTEM ERROR

1) if you have nothing in a USB port you will need to set bios
Try removing M/board battery for 2 to 3 hours some people say less then replace it most times it should set BIOS back to default
also check setup of hard disks master slave etc

Last resort with 15 seconds you should be able to see
press ?? key to access BIOS next boot keep pressing key see if that works

Cmos checksum bad...usb current status detected system shut down 15 sec

Situation Remedies If you have encountered this error and would like to fix your computer, here are some remedies for each situation:
CMOS Battery Not Functioning Properly: If you suspect your CMOS battery is not functioning properly you can easily change it. Before changing your battery, reboot your computer to make sure that the error still exists. If it does, go into your CMOS and write down all of the settings. If all settings are lost, you can usually get them from your computer manufacturer. Now locate the battery and remove it, you might need to consult your computers manual or tech support to remove your battery. Take down the CMOS batteries information such as volt, size, etc. Once you have your new battery, you can replace it and reenter your CMOS settings. If your battery was the cause of the CMOS Checksum Bad Error, you should have remedied the problem.
Your BIOS has Been Updated (either by you or possibly a virus): If your BIOS has been updated recently, your CMOS settings may have become reset. Make sure that the values entered in the BIOS are correct or simply reset them to the default settings. If you believe that a virus updated your BIOS settings, run a virus scan and make sure that the BIOS settings are back to the default.
The Computer Was Shut Down Improperly: Sometimes when running MS Windows, if you shut down your laptop or desktop without first properly shutting down your operating system it will corrupt the CMOS settings causing the CMOS Checksum Bad Error. You can easily avoid this error by making sure that you completely shut down your computer before turning off the power. Usually this entails going into the Start Menu/ Turn Off Computer/ Shut Down. If you received the error, shut down the computer properly, if this is the cause of the error, the error message will not return.
