For the first step, try using the button on the TV itself.
Secondly, check if the power cord is snug, and not burnt. Sometimes after a blackout, there would be a power surge, and that might burn your plug.
If both doesn't work, the fuse in your TV may be blown, or the Power Supply may also be burnt too. If this happens, you're going to have to hire an expert to help replace the broken parts.
Note that in some TV models, the fuse can be replaced by users. If this is your case, try checking the fuse to see if it's blown or not.

If it died and won't crank, sounds like you lost power to something. Does the warning lights come on when you turn the key on ? Got headlights ? A mechanic would check for voltage at the starter and work back from there.
If the red light won't come on it is not getting power.First, try plugging it in to a different outlet,or unplug one of the gadgets you know is working and plug the tv in there. You are simply switching. If you know that there is power coming from the outlet and it still won't come on then you'll have to check the cord;don't go much farther than that without expert help.
total dead usually means the fuse---unplug the set for safety and remove back cover---follow power cord just inside and you will find the fuse in a snap in holder--check to see if bad.............if good let me know and I will try to assist you.
Hello Do any indicator LED at it front panel lights up? If lights up, and the TV won't turn ON, the fault is with its internal circuit board. If not, the fault is with its power regulator board. This is the picture to the power board to your tV.
the remote has nothing to do with the tv not turning on or off you should be able to push the power button on front of the tv and turn it on that way.if its not staying on then theres something more wrong than just a lost remote
