Make sure the locking tab that keeps the battery in place is not stuck. Also, try taking a piece of duct tape, stick it to the bottom of the battery and pull on it as you release the battery. If you get it out, make sure it isn't swollen. A lot of cheap aftermarket batteries have been known to do this.

Memory cards work, t2i gives Card Write Protected message. Took battery out, reset settings to original, tried tape over card's protect switch

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Can a quantaray lens fit a cannon t2i digi camera?

Quantaray makes lenses with a variety of mounts to fit a variety of camera. A lens with a Nikon mount, for example, will not fit onto a Canon camera. Assuming you get the lens with a Canon mount, then it will work on a Canon T2i.

My new canon rebel T2i/EOS 550D Flash is not opening when i press shoot, it tries and tries and tries and show error 5.

A 5 error is the camera thinks the flash is not raising. Look near the hinge for a small button and see if it is up or down. This lets the camera know is the flash is up or down and if the button is stuck down you will hear the motor fire a few times and it will then error.
Unfortunately, this is one of the problems that starts to appear on cameras with pop-up flashes. You can hit the button and pull it up at the same time. Only other option is to send it to Canon to get it repaired.
or, Get an Speedlite like the 430EXII or 580EXII. The flash unit may make your camera bigger, but the results will be much better once you learn flash techniques.

I'm trying to upload the pictures on my Canon EOS Rebel T2i and the red light is blinking with nothing coming up on my computer... please help!

red blinking is memory card activity so should wait. try putting the camera into playback mode when connecting to a computer and computer should come up with a range of options. if all things fail go get yourself a memory card reader and take the card out of the camera and transfer your photos that way. its better on your cameras battery life and its quicker

My Canon T2i battery is about 1/4 to 1/2 down. Can I recharge without creating a memory? I have a Canon RS-60E3 remote switch. Will it work with my T2i? I have a Sun Pak pwer zoom flash that I used...

You don't have to worry about a memory effect with lithium-ion batteries.

Before anyone can tell you whether a Sunpak flash would work with a digital camera, you'll have to tell us the model of the flash. You can try checking for yourself at

I tried turning the T2i off and on when I get the Err 80, but problem remains. Removing the battery and reinstall didn't help either. What should be my next move?

Send it to Canon repair.
I did a quick search on google and its seems like its a circuit board/shutter issue, in some case removing the battery helped on the short term but sometimes not. seems like you got a lemon. http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer?pageKeyCode=repairLanding
