POWERCRAFT PC40-38cc.THE CHAIN OILER DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE WORKING! NO OIL IS COMING OUT THE SMALL HOLE IN THE HOUSING THAT THE BAR IS CLAMPED AGAINST, WHEN I RUN THE ENGINE WITH NO BAR AND CHAIN...

It would appear that you must 'go under the cover'. Look for a damaged oil line or split oil tank. The oil pump may have come loose from it's mounting. Be sure to check the oil filter for plugging. Hope this helps!

Powercraft pc40-38cc chain oil not getting to chain manual is lost is there a simple fix?

Take the bar and chain off. Clean the engine area where the bar fits to and start the engine--oil should ooze out of the small port where you cleaned. If ok, clean the small drive-end oil passages that lead from the larger holes out to the chain groove on each side of the bar. They commonly fill with sawdust and dirt which plugs them. Clean the entire chain groove and check/oil the end sprocket if it has one. Reinstall the bar and chain, then start the engine and run the tip near some cardboard for a few moments--it should throw off a thin line of oil. Hope this helps!
