SOURCE: Lost Product Key.

Call Microsoft and explain the situation, have a magnifying glass handy to read the tiny engraved lettering in the center of the CD disk.
If you have some kind of sales receipt, or other "Proof of Purchase" have it handy too.
They can create a new product key for you.
This method will only work if you have a legal copy of the program.

SOURCE: I needed to format my harddisk. How do I get my

Do you want to format your windows or your hard drive? These two are a bit different thing. If you want to format your windows then get a Windows CD with a valid serial key to format your Windows. And if you want to format your Hard Drives other than the drive in which the Windows Files are installed you can do it manually without re-installing the windows. But to format the Hard Drive in which the Windows Files are located you should format your computer with a Windows Copy.

Free recovery disks for hp pavillion zd8000 with windows 7

As far as I know, the original zd8000 operating system is Windows XP. If you have Windows 7 installed, then you need to get Windows 7 disc and its product key. If you need the Windows XP reinstallation media, then you can use HP Windows XP reinstallation disc only (for example: HP Windows XP Professional with SP2 disc).

My refurbished laptop's product key for windows office won't work

The Product Key on the bottom of the laptop is for the Windows OS on your machine not Office. I would suspect you have a Windows Office Trial version and must buy a Product Key. Consider using Freeware Apache OpenOffice at : http://www.filehippo.com/download_openoffice/ it's similar to office and very easy to use.

One of the digits on the label of windows xp product code is not readable.so i have used another windows xp cd with its product code but this has been used on another pc can you help

Windows operating system is to be installed on one computer at a time. Installing it on more than one computer is a software violation.
Contact Microsoft and explain that you are trying to reinstall Windows and part of you product installation code is unreadable and can they help you to recover the missing digit.
