Not much can go wrong. Have you checked your extractor? If it's intact and not broken, try moving it with your thumbnail. Is it loose? That's a spring problem. If it's tight and intact, WITH THE BOLT OUT, try slipping a small diam wooden dowel down the barrel to see how hard it is to push a spent shell out. If it's tight, you've got a burr in the chamber or dirt/varnish buildup. Examine the shell for scratches. If the shell's good and no scratches, clean the chamber with a brass brush mounted in a drill.

Ihave a Stoeger Luger 22LR serial#64392 does not load the next round and fire that round I have a new magazine in it.

Clean the ramp and check for any burrs or edges that might be hanging the rounds up. The problem could be that magazine as well. Why did you get a new magazine? Is it a factory mag or third party? In my opinion, the 3rd party mags are junk.... Is this a new gun?

Where can i find a magazine loading chamber for a mossberg 835 12 ga. pump? and how much?

I'm sorry but I don't quite know what you mean, sir. Can you explain a bit?

The 835 is a tube mag pump action. You load it by slipping a shell into that open area on the bottom of the gun, slip the shell forward into the tube until it's thumb knuckle into the tube. That gets it past both shell stops.

There should be a catch on the magazine tube of the shotgun, is it ejecting two shells into the chamber when you try to cycle the action? If so check to see that the catch is not damaged. I have the same shotgun and I can take a look at it when I get home.

How to load a mossberg model 283tb

WRONG!!! A 283TB doesn't have tube magazine, it has a box magazine that's loaded through the breach. Put on the safety, load a shell fully into the barrel. Then press the second shell into the magazine-back end first. Then press the second shell down in the magazine with the third shell, back side first again. Then press both shells in the magazine down until the bolt can be slipped back forward and close the breach.

After 1st is fired it seems to not eject the empty casing or next round misfires. Several times it will misfire. I'm using Federal Long Rifle, High Velocity, 36 Grain Hollow Points. My email address is...

Hi there,
First, listing a gun problem in the Toys section is kinda confusing. 36 grain, so i assume .22 caliber. Is this by chance a P22 or P99?

Next: ejecting vs extracting. Extracting is the act of the spent brass being pulled from the chamber as the slide moves backwards. Ejecting is when the spent casing is thrown from the gun, leaving a clear path for the next round to slide into the chamber.

The most common problems with .22 pistols is that they are dirty. Hands down, and I know this from working at a range. Strip that gun down, and clean the hell out of it. If you're not comfortable, have a gunsmith do it for you. Next, check for burrs (rough edges of metal) on the extractor. Also check for burrs or rough spots on the feeding ramp into the chamber.

If everything looks good, try different ammo. I've seen all different types of ammo fired through different weapons systems, some worked and some didn't. Wolf ammo hates American rifles, its just true. .22 LR is cheap, buy a few boxes of different brands, and see what your weapon likes to fire.

If this is still giving you problems, let me know, and i'll walk you through it step by step

My model 742 lever action missfires every 3 or 4 rounds.dimple on spent cartraige is much deeper than missfired shells

This may be an indication of a broken firing pin, dirt in the firing pin channel, or an over oiled firing pin/channel. All will exhibit this behavior. A through cleaning is called for, with dis-assembly to follow for parts inspection.

I have also experienced this behavior from a weak hammer spring.

How do you load a 12 gauge pump action Mossberg (500)? There is no magazine for it, but, is mag ready. How do you manually load?

The loading port is on the bottom of the reciever. You mention that it is "magazine ready"? Mossberg shotguns have a tublular magazine underneath the barrel, surrounded by the action bar and front grip.

Loading the magazine entails holding the shotgun in one hand, taking the shell in the other with the folded end facing the front end of the barrel. Place the shell in the magazine opening (on the bottom) and push it up with your fingers and forward with the thumb of the same hand. It will go completely forward of the silver/blue lifter and stay there when you let go. (the action must be closed to load the magazine).

Alternately, you can open the action and pop a shell into the ejection port on the right side, close it back up, and shoot!
