Question about Maytag Neptune Washer
I purchased and replaced the belt on my MAH4000 but it still comes off midwat thru the cycle. According to the installation instructions, this model does not have a tension adjustment. What am I missing?
If you installed the belt correctly but it still comes off, that means most likely that the drum pulley is tilted, which indicates another problem - the central bearings are going out. Another symptom for that is a loud noise when the drum is spinning fast. The cure for that would be replacement of the outer tub or just replacement of the bearings with seal.
If there's no noise during high spin - check if the drum pulley or the motor is loose.
