Question about Apple iPad Tablets & eReaders

1 Answer

Apps that I downloaded cannot be deleted. They do not have an x in move mode.

My iPad has a few Apps that I downloaded. I have tried deleting by touching the icon until they all wiggle. There is no ex in the corner to delete the app. Is there a setting or something that needs to be changed?

There are 2 different ways to delete an App:
1) t's easy to delete apps from the iPhone or iPad. Simply tap and hold on any icon for about 2 seconds - see them to start to wiggle and tap the X button in the left corner. that's it.
2) For devices running iOS 5 and later, there is also another way to do this is hidden in the Settings app, in the General tab, under: usage.
- you can manage the apps on your iOS device. Once there, you'll notice (after a certain delay if you have a lot of apps) that your on-board apps are listed in descending size order. That means: the apps that take up a lot of space will be listed first.
Tap on any app and you'll get even more info, including the version, the size of the app and the size of the Documents & Data. Just below that, you'll have a Delete App button in red. At the very bottom, you'll see how much space is available on the device itself.
Deleting apps that take up too much space is helpful when you're trying to install new apps, You may even notice apps that have a lot of storage attached to them that you weren't even aware of before like internet radio apps that sync songs to your device to play during the time you're not connected to the internet.
-- however, there are some core apps belonging to the iOS system and cannot be deleted like 'clock', 'calendar', 'contacts' etc.
Apps that I downloaded cannot be deleted. They do - apps-downloaded-cannot-deleted-not-x-in-b0fxfox1xpqm1xswiisyf0vv-4-0.jpg apps-downloaded-cannot-deleted-not-x-in-b0fxfox1xpqm1xswiisyf0vv-4-5.jpg

SOURCE: Want to delete apps on ipad

On the app you want to delete hold it down until the apps starts shaking and a cross will appear in the apps you can delete. Click on the cross and it will say delete "name of app", then select the delete button. Once you have done this, press the home button to go back to normal. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: game apps are stuck in download mode. How can I delete them? When they shake there is no x in the corner to delete them.

Depending on your iOS version, you will/will not have the option to delete it. Just let it finish downloading and then remove it. If it is not downloading, try restarting your device. Alternately, you could try a computer sync and see if it changes anything.

Are the apps you're trying to delete ones you downloaded? Some apps were on your iPad when you bought it and those can't be deleted. Only those apps that you downloaded can be deleted from your home screens.

How do I remove permanently Big fish casino app from my I pad

Bring up all your Apps icons on Ipad, then touch the Settings symbol and a pop-up box appears. Find the word Uninstall, usually has a rubbish bin icon. Then touch on Uninstall and the screen changes to uninstalling mode. swipe/scroll left or right until the Installed Apps appear. The Installed Apps are usually marked. Find your Big Fish app and touch it. A Delete confirmation message appears. Touch the Ok button to delete it.

I filled up my 32GB iPad Air and had to delete ALL my pics, after being sure they are backed up if you want to keep them, and deleting some of my apps that I didn't use. You can delete them from iTunes when you are connected, or try it from your ipad.

I cannot get my IPad to delete some icons on my iPad screen I no longer need

When removing those icons you are actually deleting the apps from your ipad. There are some apps built into you ipad and those cannot be deleted.
However you can move them out of sight to another screen.
Or create a folder icon and move them there if you do not use them often.

Remove baidu from iPad

Have you installed a Baidu app on your iPad and wanna remove it?

Well, the first method recommended for you is to directly delete apps from Home screen on your iPad.
1. You only need to keep touching the icon of the app until it wiggles with an X at the upper left corner.
2. Then tap the X and choose "Delete" in the pop-up dialog. You will get the apps deleted with no efforts.

Sometimes you cannot see the X and don't know how to delete apps on iPad directly, you can check the Settings at this moment. Then you can try to delete the apps on your iPad again.
1. Check the "Settings", then scroll down a bit and tap on the "General" option.
2. Tap on "Usage" (older version of iOS) or tap on the "Storage & iCloud Usage" (newer version of iOS).
3. You need to tap on "Manage Storage" and you'll see a list of all app installed on your iPad. Simply select the app and tap on "Delete" to delete that app.

There are also some other methods to help you remove unwanted apps from your iOS device. Click the following link to know more.
