Hp tx 2000 screen does not show after boot up..wat can i use to get this to work.

If you hear it start up and the lights come on, try hooking up an external monitor. When you do, be sure to push the Fn key plus whatever special function key shows 2 monitors on it so the output will be directed to the external monitor.
Sounds like the LCD screen might not be working.

Borrowing an external monitor would quickly verify that the rest of the system is working but if you turn the power on an look at the screen from a shallow angle, you should be able to see some 'ghost' images during the boot period. If you try either one, and the unit seems to kick off right, then you probably have a failed back-light or the inverter for it. Neither one is an expensive part but you will not be happy once the quoted cost includes labor. This is only conditionally a DIY task since it does require some good motor control (delicate fluorescent tube) and perhaps a quality soldering iron.

Power drain would be a better solution in this case.
1.first shut down the comp
2.unplug the charger
3. remove the battery
and after press and hold the power button for 60 seconds without any charger and the battery.After the 60 seconds replug the battery and the charger and turn the computer

Please run system restore from your control panel to an earlier date.

Try safe mode boot, hit F8 or F5 fast in beginning of boot process. You may have to try this a few times to get timing just right.

I think your video card has gone out. You can disable the video vcard if it is onboard, or replace the pci video card if one is in the pci slot.
