Have had this Sony camera about 7 yrs and never had a problem..today I went to take a picture and I get a message that the Memory Stick is locked.?

- I could'nt believe I got a respond to my problem probably a min after posting and thank you so much...got the problem fixed.

check the memory stick for a small plastic switch with a picture of a lock beside it, make sure it is not turned on.
