Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

Printer stopped responding.

I have no readings on the message screen and I get not response from any function keys. When I turn on, the message screen comes on blank and that is it. There was a large thunder storm last night, could this relate to the problem.

It is possible that a power surge/spike took out the printer's circuit board somewhere. You might check with the printer's manufacturer for sure.

HERE'S THE ANSWER TO YOUR PROBLEM:

Have you ever dropped or thrown your cellphone? Have you ever placed it in contact with heat? In case you did, the culprits might the the following:

1. CELL PHONE BLUNT SCREEN: This problem arise when your cell phone is placed in an area where heat is present. In this case, try to contact a cell phone technician who can assess whether your phone will still work in case repaired.

Ink system failure


  • Disconnect the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable from the back of the product, but leave the product turned on.
  • Open the cover of the product and remove the print cartridges.
  • Close the cover and wait for the Insert Ink Cartridges message to display.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product and the wall socket, then wait for one minute.
  • Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button.
  • Open the cover and reinsert the print cartridges.
  • Close the cover. If prompted, print a calibration page.
  • Print a Self Test to verify product is functional.
  • Reconnect the USB cable, and try to print from the computer.
  • If the error is still there continue reading...
1. Get the unit into the "Support Menu" by following the steps below
A. - Press and hold the "*" key.
B. - Press the "#" key and release both keys.
Display should say "Enter Special Key Combo"
C. - Press and release in sequence the "1", "2" and "3" buttons.
Display should say "Support" and display the FW rev (something like R0631R)
2. Press and release the right arrow button until the display says "System Configuration Menu". (on C8100 use Touch Screen)
3. Press and release the "OK" button.
4. Display should say "Hardware failure status". If not there already, Arrow Key over to "Hardware failure status",
5. Press and release the "OK" button.
6. Display should say "Hardware failure status: Clear. Press OK to clear".
7. Press and release the "OK" Button. Message changes to "Hardware failure status Cleared. Press Cancel to continue".
8. Press and release the "CANCEL" button as many times as necessary, so that, either the "Welcome to Photosmart Express" screen appears, or, the "Ink System Failure" screen appears. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO PRINT AT THIS STAGE.
9. Using the Power Button, turn the unit OFF and unplug the power cable from back of the printer and wall outlet.
10. Wait 30 seconds for the power to get discharged and then plug the power cable into the wall outlet first and then into the back of the printer
11. Turn the unit on. The printer may display message "USE POWER BUTTON TO SHUTDOWN THE PRINTER" followed by "PRESS OK TO CONTINUE". Press OK.
12. If the printer has already initialized, then go to the next step. If not, the printer will start the "ONE TIME INK INITIALIZATION PROCESS". Allow this process to complete and do not interrupt. Once the initialization process is complete, the printer will print out a Diagnostic Page.
13. To verify printer functionality print a SELF TEST PAGE. If SELF TEST prints, then printer is ready for use or Software Installation.
14. If the error is still there, or reoccurs replace the unit

My son has a TI-84 Plus calculator and it is completely frozen. There is a message on the screen that reads " RAM cleared". Below that message it says "Press ALPHA F1-F4 to locate shortcut menus" but it...


The calculator OS has been upgraded to the version 2.53 MP.
For this version, whenever you remove batteries (or replace them) and turn calculator ON, you are reminded to Press [ALPHA][F1-F4] to locate Shortcuts Menu.
The calculator also asks the user to press either
[1:Do NOT show Again]
[2:Continue].

Here is what these cryptic messages mean.

Certain functions implemented on the new OS are available by pressing the [ALPHA] key followed by F1, F2, F3 or F4.
Since you may forget how to get to them, the calculator gently reminds you that there are other functions accessed only by pressing the [ALPHA] key.
It also gives you the option to flash the reminder every time the calculator memory is reset (CONTINUE) or NOT to SHOW the REMINDER again.

Usually after the RAM cleared message, press [2:Continue] or any other key but [1: ] to keep being reminded how to access the new functions.
Once a key is pressed the screen is cleared and you have the solid blinking cursor.

The touchscreen on my Samsung Impression SGH-A877 does not work at all. Started about a week ago when I noticed that it was not selecting the things I touched on the screen, but selecting the entry above...


Hi,you will have to replace the flex of the phone.
The flex make the touch pad to function,also the functioning of the number keys.
When you replace the flex the touch pad and the key will function again.

Hp printer stopped printing with a "usb" error 237


The remedy is to reinstall the driver for your operating system which will be available at the mfr support website.

Also check the status of the USB on your PC by looking at the device manager.
