Sure it is possible to unlock your Verizon BlackBerry Curve. Infact I got my Curve 8310 unlocked last week.
Here is the link that I used to purchase my unlock code.
Unlock code came in via email, along with the instructions on how to key in the code, and within 30 seconds my BB was unlocked.!
I can now use it with any carrier. I soon be traveling to Europe and I am happy I would be able to use my phone there.

If you are speaking about a lock code on the phone that has been mis-placed or forgotten, unfortunately the answer is no. Neither can RIM-Blackberry for security reasons. Also, if you enter in the incorrect lock-code 10 times the phone will automatically erase everything stored in the phone except for your phone number. Blackberry did this as a security precaution, so for example if you lost your phone and someone else found it, they could not try entering 1,000 passwords to either see your confidential information or use your phone to make calls. No carrier can unlock the passcode on a Blackberry, unfortunately. However, some store technicians are able to backup your contacts to any other phone in the store before your information is erased, and then restore your contacts. It is rare to find a tech at a store that knows how to do this, but certainly doesn't hurt to call a location near you and ask!

No, they are a GSM network, and AT&T uses SIM cards while Verizon doesnt. you see the problem.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

The phone should not be locked. Verizon phones will work on Alltels network. Once it is on the Alltel network you just need to update the PRL. Alltel phones use Alltels network and Verizons network so it really should not matter what name is on the phone.

To unlock blackberry curve from verizon network you will be need a blackberry unlock code. With that code your phone will accept any sim card network for any provider so you can use your metropcs sim card in your phone.
