My tub keeps tripping the breaker, but after it kools down I can trip the breaker back on, but it hits 100 and trips the breaker again, could this be the heater?

What Trips?
  • the "Actual" electrical circuit breaker?
    • Is it GFCI Style?
or...
  • Is the high limit switch tripping?,
    • which isn't actually a breaker.
  • A circuit breaker is a breaker that toggles as a switch, and to reset it you have to switch the toggle switch ALL the way to Off position to reset, then switch it to on.
    • Same thing if it were a GFCI style, it just has a 'Test' button on the body of the breaker, that button is usually a white rectangular button.
  • Some systems have a GFCI breaker that looks totally differnent from above... It's located on the control system itself, very similar to what you may have in your bathroom or kitchen of your home! It will have a 'Test' button AND a 'Reset' button.
A High Limit Switch, acts like a breaker, as it will trip when it senses a temperature greater that it is set for as a safe temperature. Once that temp is breached, it will trip.

So... Which one is tripping for you? What are you resetting to turn it back on?
if circuit breaker, it has nothing to do with the 100 degree temp you mentioned. If that trips,= electrical problem, either a short or overheated electrical appliance (internal wires) aging motor pulling too much current, loose electrical connections generate heat, etc.
if High Limit, then possible overheat of water? Many times, failed thermostat. I already know what you're thinking... But I never saw water get Hot! But... Many times that IS just the case , it's just you never noticed the water hot, and it has been cooling down when you saw it.

Brand new out the box dw716 dewalt compound dual bevel miter saw cut one board & quit. Left it alone for about 10 minutes & it worked when we came back. Made about 10 more cuts & it stopped again. We are...

I would return it to the store, or have it fixed under warranty. You obviously have a defective saw. Dewalt is a reputable company, and they make high quality tools, but defects do op up once in a while from all manufacturers.
It sounds like your saw has a defective heat sensor, and it is sensing the temperature incorrectly and shutting the saw off to protect it.

I have to push blade to start and after a little while breaker trips

The Start capacitor is bad. (CD60A) Made in China the min. order is 1000 peices, replace motor cost more than the saw, or get a 200 uf 250vac capacitor (Grainger) to replace the CD60A. It is larger so you have to mount it on top of the external cap on the motor. I think the CD60A is going to be a major problem on all these saws.

My blade to my circular saw model number 5007nb was having trouble cutting through some wood which lead to it over heating how can i fix this thing and get it to start working tonight

Well you did not really say what is wrong?
Are you trying to stop the overheating, or did it get so bogged down from blade heat warpage, that the internal circuit breaker tripped?
If so, then look at the end of the motor, near the cooling vents, and press the little black circuit breaker reset. (not all have them)
Also check that the outlet still works, by plugging something else into it, because you may have tripped the circuit breaker for the outlet, or GFP.

We used our Husqvarna for about 20 minutes when it stopped rotating. Turned it off and was idle absolutely fine but the chain still won't turn. Sorry, don't know the model, but it's brand new....??

on some of the new chain saws there is a safety switch on the guard in front of the handle, it goes forward to lock the chain and pull it back to unlock the chain sometime make sure it is in the it is pulled back and check to see if it is still hook up to the switch.

Breaker trips after 15 seconds can reset but trips again its a craftsman portable table saw 10"

sounds like you have a direct short in the tool or possibly the breaker is weak. I would try another outlet first to see if it does it again. Also look at other products on the same circuit that might over load the breaker. If it does then I would have to think it is the tool and needs to be put on a special tester to check for dielectric failure.

Saw blade broke. motor won't run after changing blade. reset wasn't tripped. lite still works so its not in the power cord.help! this is a craftsman 16 in. variable speed scroll saw not used very much....

It would have cost more to have Sears fix the saw than I paid for it, so I got my meter out and by checking the voltage drops across all of the electrical connections in the saw , I determined that the on / off switch was defective. This switch is the same switch used to turn the lite on and off, so I took the switch out of the lite and used it in the saw. I ordered a new switch for the lite and will install it when the new one comes. Thanks for your interest and help. fletcher1

On Craftsman tablesaw/model 137.248830, was ripping some 2x4's, went to make next cut and saw wouldn't turn on. Pressed reset button, but that didn't help. Button seemed "soft". Cleaned out sawdust from...

I just bought this saw used off of e-bay. Got it home check to see if it would run, It did. The next day got the saw out and nothing. By passed the breaker and the switch and it ran fine. Ended up taking the switch out and apart I found that there is a rocker inside that either rocks in one direction (off) or the other direction is (on). the on side has a contact similar to a points contact on an older vehicle. Mine had some saw dust between the contact thus no power. wiped it out and the saw was fine.
