Question about Maytag Over-the-Range Microwave
The vent turned on automatically when steam was coming off stove but turn off.
The vent fan is thermostat controlled to protect the control panel. Once the panel temp drops, this will turn off by itself. This is normal for this to occur when your steaming and cooking for a long time. Good Luck

It could be that the fan button is sticking or a contact has welded itself closed therefore its getting power all the time.
