Really need more info. did this just happen. Take out the battery for an hour or so. no charger either. Put the battery back in, plug in the charger make sure the charger is working. turn on lap top. If nothing Hold the power button in for about 20 seconds unless it starts then just let the button go. Hope this helps. God Bless :O)

The brightness level


You need to use the Toshiba "Power Saver" console. Go to Control Panel -> TOSHIBA power saver. Click the Icon and use the console to adjust the brightness for the various power schemes. If you don't see the TOSHIBA power saver icon, go to Go to Control Panel ->Power Options and open that console. Select "TOSHIBA Power Saver" option in the "Power schemes" dialog box. If you don't have that option in the dialog box, you need to go to the Toshiba site and download the Power Saver installation file and reinstall it.

Download the hotkey utility from the toshiba web site. I got this errorafter installing service pack 2 for xp. The hotkey utility fixed it.error appeared every time I started windows xp. Go to:http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp
and go to downloads, select model and download:
Toshiba Hotkey Utility
Install and restart, problem solved. thank you, thank you...
