The light comes on so there is power to it and I tested the stereo plug and it works so the problem is with the card or connection with the speakers. What is the best way to open it to see what can be repaired?

The Griffin ifire is sealed with 2 plastic pieces. I assume it is glued together. Could I use a heat gun to soften up the glue to separate the two pieces? The most important question is, can the ifire be repaired even if you have access to the internal card?

SOURCE: REPAIR CONE TEAR IN 18"

If the tear is large, or the speaker cone is brittle because of age, you might be best off having the speaker completely reconed. There are companies that offer the service, or you can buy replacement cones and do it yourself.

For small tears (an inch or so long), you can glue a patch in place. I have used a piece of a paper coffee filter as a patch, and plain white Elmer's glue slightly thinned with water. Put the patch over the tear and use a small brush to spread a thin layer of glue over it. Give it a day to thoroughly dry and you should be set.

I have found this repair to be more effective on smaller speakers than on large woofers, though. The woofer cones are more mechanically active. But I patched a couple of 15-inch cones that had been punctured for a friend, and they are still playing after a year. So it can't hurt to try.

Is there an adapter for Apple Pro Speakers M6531 for an Apple Mac Pro computer?

The only thing I have found that will work with these speakers is called the Griffin iFire. It use a firewire port on your mac to power the speakers and has a normal mini plug on the end of it. However, saying this they are not readily available you may be able to pick them up on ebay or another auction site at some point. An review of the iFire can be found at http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/general/54505/griffin-ifire

Hi,

To be really honest, i mate services are the worst in most of the Asian countries. Even though you would find a Service Center, they might charge you so many bucks. Still, no guarantee. I am taking into consideration majority of people who have purchase i mate.

It usually cost $35 + Labour charges.

You can calculate in your currency.

Thanks.

Sadly, the original Xbox power supplies are rather weak against overloading. I personally know of 3 systems which died due to power issues. I really wouldn't suggest repairing it unless you have someone who really knows what they are doing.
