  • 1 Select the ink cartridge specific to your printer. Canon inks are versatile, so your selection may be as simple as choosing between black, color or a multi-pack with black and color cartridges.

  • 2 Turn on your Canon printer. The switch is generally located on the top right hand side of the printer. Open the printer's lid.
  • 3 Wait a moment. The cartridge carrier will automatically disengage.
  • 4 Put your hand behind the existing ink cartridge and pull the cartridge towards you until it pops out. Dispose of or recycle the used cartridge.
  • 5 Carefully pull the tape off the new cartridge.
  • 6 Position the new cartridge into the cartridge carrier. Make sure it is facing the correct position.
  • 7 Press the cartridge carrier gently until it clicks into place. Some cartridges have indicators to demonstrate that they are properly positioned.
  • 8 Close the printer's lid. Print a test page to ensure everything is working properly.

How to reset expired hp 02 cartridge

I'm not sure what you mean by "reset" and whether you are speaking of ink jet or laser cartridges. From my experience all HP laser cartridges have a small chip (with a little circuitry) that counts down your pages and when it decides your cartridge is out of toner you cannot "reset" that chip, you can only replace it, so like when you refill the cartridge. Some of the HP laser printers let you override these toner level chips (my HP 1518ni does) but in many laser printers you are stuck when the chip counts down to '0' pages. Some printers will run if you remove the chip from the cartridge but from my experience most will not.
Ink jet cartridges are somewhat similar but I gave up on ink jet printers several years ago. I know for some brands (Epson?) you can buy a small tool that somehow resets the cartridge chip (so if you refill cartridges yourself); possibly there is something similar for HP ink jet cartridges.

    Not printing yellow colour

Ink jet printer manufacturers have us between a rock and a hard place, use it and you have to replace empty cartridges, do not use it and the cartridge jets dry up and can more often than not, not be unclogged, and I fear this may your case. Hold a tissue on the inderside of the cartridge, this may **** the ink out and clear blocked jets. If this does not work, try standing the underside of the cartridges in a shallow dish of hot water for a while, repeat several times if necessary and then try perform the cartridge cleaning procedure. If it does not work try taking it to an ink shop to see if they can apply suction to clear them, but I fear you may end up having to replace the cartridges.

My printer is printing blank pages.

    Either:
    * empty ink cartridges
    * clogged ink-jets, such that no ink can be sprayed onto the paper

Use the HP software to check the ink-levels in the cartridges.

Run a few "print-head-cleaning" cycles. If still no output, then replace the ink-cartridge(s).

It keeps showing the message "remove and check the right ink cartridge". we already removed and re-install it many times. we also cleaned it and we still show that message. help! thank you!

Try to replace the ink cartridge with a new name brand ink jet cartridge that matches the manufacturer. Sometimes aftermarket ink jet cartridges don't work as well as the name brand ones.

    Lexmark x125 prints blank pages.

    The printer cartridge could be
    1) Out of ink and need to be replaced/refilled
    2) The jets at the bottom of the cartridge may be clogged
    3) Their could be a bad connection from the cartridge to the pads on the flexible circuit board in the printer.

To try and clean the printer cartridge I have heated a wet paper towel in a microwave oven and set the ink cartridge with the jet are in contact with the hot towel. That sometimes will clear the jets. If you see ink on the paper towel the jets are flowing.
Run the printer software to run the cleaning program and see if you get black bars on the paper. If not there is either not enough ink or there is a connection problem. Sometimes the connection problem can be fixed using a cotton swab in alcohol to clean the contacts on the cartridge and the flexible circuit in the printer. Be very gentle if you attempt this cleaning.

Black ink will not print text

maybe the ink jet cartridge is depleted. This is common on all ink jet printers.
Or, the ink jet cartridge has tape on the head.

Hi. No magenta or cyan printing on my canon pixma 750. used the maintenance cleaning function and head refreshing to no avail. Any ideas, thanks Mark

Sounds like the ink jet cartridges need to be replaced. Cleaning will not solve the problem after the ink is depleted, and if the ink were low, the cleaning process uses up a lot of ink.

Good luck on replacing the ink jet cartridges.

    Please check :-
Protective tape on a new ink cartridge has been removed. Contacts on the ink cartridge are not meeting the contacts in the carriage correctly.

Then try and do a head clean and printer head alignment.
