Question about Video Cameras

1 Answer

Hitachi VM-E110A I was transferring some old family videos from the camcorder to my computer. It was working fine, but now it's like the video playback is 1 speed faster than normal? For the life of me I can't figure out what I've screwed up.

Check your camera setting in the menu. speed settings are good when you have a recorder that will match your camera speeds for faster transfer.

Try transferring the videos to your computer. Connect the camcorder to your computer and open windows movie maker. Then use the capture from camera to capture it from the camcorder. Once its done you can save the captured video to your computer and burn them to a DVD.

Hope this helps,

Hitachi Camcorder VM E220A - After load cassette "TAPE" error

There is a mode switch within the deck assembly that is probably dirty but not cleanable. I haven't repaired one of those for some years and am sure spares are no longer available for it. The 58 is V8 format and should be OK but may show similar symptoms due to age, in the future.
