Print heads keep going bad

if your printheads are continuously failing before there warranty ends thers a good chance there is an air leak into the iss ( ink supply system) or tubes as they are known, the little stem caps are usually where the Iss fails after repeatdly changing heads the stemms can work loose- unfortunatly the fix will need to include tubes and for such a samll plotter I would suggest it would be cheaper to buy New plotter

Error 0b0004 0000000e

the fault code refers to the APS failure( air Pressure system)
things to check- remove all ink cartridges( one of these may be the fault) check at the back of the plotter at the right hand (from rear) end cap, open the tubes access door and ensure all blu levers are closed correctly, check for six clear ( air tubes- no ink allowed) and six Ink tubes ( no AIR bubbles allowed) there is also a larger diameter tube which carries the pressured air thisshould be correctly connected to the air splitter check for cracks in ths tube ( often goes at the connector block) if all appears ok then You should replace the APS system,if that doesnt cure it then the fault lies on the main {PCA

Streaking on photo plots on a 1050c

Streaks can come from several sources. Since you said they appear near the end of a plot, the print heads may be running out of ink before the end of the job. This would happen if you had air in the ink tube system and consequently in the heads. When the printer is idle for a while, ink will migrate to the bottom of the print head so when you print again it is ok for the first part of the plot and then gets to the air bubble.

Open the back door of the plotter and look for air bubbles in the ink supply lines. If air is present, it needs to come out. There is a purging tool at Designjet Ink Tube Priming Tool . The print heads may need to be replaced, but not before the tube system is clean.

I have a Designjet 5500ps Printer and it is leaking blue ink, when printing, all my research indicates that I need to replace the carriage tube connector, but I am unable to find the replacement part.

Hi there

May be you can try to contact any Authorised HP Service centre for your probelm. Could you give me your correct location so i can tell you whome to contact?

Alternatively you can try to see where the leakage is taking place and try to seal it with silicon sealent so it can atleast last untill someone attends to the probelm from HP.

The technical term for it is INK TUBE ASSY. But make sure and tell the HP people about the size of the plotter that is 42" or 60" and also keep the Product Number and Sl. No. of the machine handy which is required by HP technical team. (You can find it at the back of the plotter)

Moved printer and now it asks for set up printer heads

presumably you purged the ink from the tubes prior to moving the printer (or the printer thinks you did).
you need the setup print heads to prime the tubes again.
partnumber is C7769-60164

Cyan ink discharge at the back of the ink crtrige.

The leak is from the cyan ink cartridge or from the connections in the ink tube system. Replace the ink cartridge first. If that does not fix the problem, replace the ink tube system.
