Put some water in the tray. Let it freeze and once frozen will the ice then empty into the ice bin? If yes then the problem is possibly one side of the water control valve is defective. This is not the correct water control valve for your model number. HERE You need to provide the correct model number first.
What is the model number? I am here should you need me, Thanks John Tripp Appliance 911

SOURCE: Frigidaire Icemaker not making ice.

That on/off arm...you should be able to move it and it will likely make a small click when the switch goes on or off. That arm controls the ice making. There is also a float, is it working freely? It has a switch too. Ultimately, the water is controlled by a solenoid valve. It may be defective. Many of these units are removable to test the switches with a multimeter. Turn off the water and remove to test. Some parts are available...some parts are by the unit only.

SOURCE: Ice maker stopped working and no Water in Ice maker,,,

I had this same thing happen and I just fixed it! After returning from a long trip, I threw out the old ice (now mostly shrunk), but no new ice was being made. The tray where the ice is made was completely empty/dry (maybe any ice cubes there had "shrunk" away to nothing as well? perhaps part of what keeps the freezer "frost free"?).

So I filled the tray with water using a small measuring cup -- which is what the manufacturer suggests when the refrigerator is new. Now it's making ice again just fine! This might or might not work for you, but trying it won't cost you anything.

SOURCE: kitchen aid superba fridge - ice maker not working .. water dispencer is

The refrigerator has a duel water valve, one for the ice-maker and one for the water dispenser (if equipped). The valve that the ice-maker relies on may be bad, or it could be the ice-maker itself.
Another thing that could cause it would be the temperatures in the freezer. The ice-maker will not call for water until it reaches under 15 degrees. In addition, check the water tube behind the ice-maker to make sure it is not frozen, blocking more water from entering. The water does not go to the ice-maker or thru the filter unless the ice-maker turns on the water valve.

SOURCE: NO WATER IN ICE MAKER

From what you've described, it sounds like you have a defective inlet water-valve.

I would remove your outside rear bottom panel; disconnect the 2 prong wires connected to your ice-maker water valve (blue with black solenoids) and check for continuity using an ohm-meter setting. If defective, replace. Whats' your model #?

Ice maker quit

if ice maker is cycleing then it is either water frozen at the tube where water comes in. if it is then shut off refrig. remove icemaker and thaw tube out with a hair dryer. makeing sure not to melt plastic in the back panel of freezer. if it is plastic. if it is not plugged then it is either a bad water valve or the watervalve switch in the icemaker.

Kenmore 56541 side by side icemaker nor making ice The in door water dispencer works Arm on tray is on no water getting to tray

1.Bad water valve located in the back bottom of refrigerator.
2. Frozen fill tube going into back of ice maker. (common problem)
3. Ice maker not cycling. Pour water into ice maker cavity until near filled.
Wait a few hours and see if it dumps.
4.In rare cases, the switch in the ice maker body fails. Ice maker will cycle but not tell water valve to refill.

Ice maker not producing ice. Tried everything in the Troubleshooting section of Users Manual. Replaced water filter. The front water dispenser is working.

the most likely thing would be a bad water valve.try to reset the ice maker and watch to see if the tray fills up the fill tube could also be blocked with frozen water.the last thing is simply a bad ice maker.

The ice maker has stopped filling with water and making ice

The Ice maker water supply is controlled by a water solenoid valve that is engaged when the temperature is cold enough and or the timer on the ice maker triggers it to open...when the Ice is dumped the timer causes the gears to keep turning and the arm the sweeps the ice out will circle around engaging the fill valve (solenoid)...(check to see if the arm that sweeps the ice out is stuck in one position say down or up and that it never moves over a period of 4-8 hours...The Ice maker will not work if

1. the Ice maker is broken..like I just mentioned..(stuck in one position,,,sometimes it can get stuck and a manual push or pull of the arm may allow it to become unstuck and it will start up again if the timer is not burned out...or a gear is not sheared which allows the are to cycle around) .
2. The water filter is clogged..(but generally you would not have water from the dispenser) as is what happened to my Kenmore...but it started up after i changed out the filter.
3. Or the solenoid itself is bad.....(Service tech time)...generally the other 2 problems can be handled by someone with good mechanical skills.
$. the freezer temperature is not set low enough...I'm sure it is...but is is a possibility.
I hope one of these helps...I just try to cover all the bases so one can get there problem taken care of...good luck...please rate me...The Fang

Kitchenaid removing icemaker

on it as to you ice it is on a separate valve as the water in the door so the water flow don't mean a lot in this case remove the front plastic cover on the icemaker and you will see a bunch of little holes make a jumper wire out #10 or 12 house wire strip about 1/4 inch off the ends an insert in the holes marked t&h this will start a test cycle make sure you hold the plastic insulation so you don't get bit if the ice maker starts cycling remove the wire and watch for it to stop listen for the icemaker valve to open if the ice maker finishes and the valve didn’t fill replace the water valves if the icemaker doesnt cycle and you may have to kind of twist the jumper back and forth to get it to make contact depending on the gauge you used then replace the ice maker motor module if you hear the valve open and the ice maker doesnt fill check for a frozen ice fill tube that should do it
