Question about Hayward H Series Pool & Spa Heater 400k Btu Propane Gas Milivolt Ignition H400p1
I have a Hayward pool heater. It's about 5 years old. This season it started working fine and then all of a sudden the temperature display simply states 126 and the heater does not turn on. When I lower or raise the heat gauge, the display shows the set temperature for a moment, for instance 85 degrees and then quickly returns to 126. Is there a reset or restart process I need to start? How do I check if the pilot light is lit and how do I start it? With a BBQ lighter? A match? Right now I've powered it off.
Would not suggest trying to manually light, its an electronic ign model so you may damage some wires with an open flame.try powering off then turning back on and see if display retuns to normal
