Question about Audio Players & Recorders
Each speaker has a retractable cable. The cable in one speaker attaches to the other speaker, and the second speaker's cable plugs in to the music player of your choice. The second cable has slipped out of the tip that plugs in to my iPod. Can it be fixed, or should I get new speakers?
You can have the cable repaired by someone with electronic tech skills. Far less money than buying new speakers.

If you've done that already and still no response from your system, I would suggest to take back to the place where you bought it and ask them to check it for you. Tell them that you follow the user's manual to the "T" but still unable to make it work.

SOURCE: left channel not working
Thanks, yesterday i tried changing the speakers from right to left, the problem still remained on the speaker getting connected to the right channel. Later i pulled out the speaker wires from the reciver's end for the right channel, cut them and pulled out new strings from the insulation, twisted them and inserted, the speaker is working fine, though not 100% but close to left channel. I guess the problem was old strings in the wire which had got over twisted and were not parallel to each other.

Not sure if this is your fix, but I had what I thought was the same problem. I played with my Onkyo quite a bit ensuring the correct assignments for HDMI, audio and all that stuff. Turns out I neglected to make sure the output devices were properly assigned. Many devices aren't default to output sound over HDMI. I changed the audio out settings on the cable box to HDMI and suddenly the Onkyo worked great. I know, I'm an idiot for not checking that in the first place, but maybe someone out there is having the same trouble as well.

the RX-V365 cannot process the audio from the HDMI input. You will also need to connect a seperate audio input (either coaxial or optical) into the relevant input in the rear of the RX-V365
