Vitotrol 100 will not illuminate when heating on

I started seeds on a pet warmer pad that I got at Runnings. It is just a hard plastic rectangle that stays just the right temperature. For pipe a heat tape product is the choice, look for a self regulating type like Easy Heat freeze free brand. Basically you run it along with the pipe and attach it with tape or zip ties. Maybe spiral it around a big pipe. Insulation around the whole works is a good finishing touch. For chicken water my dad used to just have a 100 Watt light bulb shining down on it, and that worked in South Dakota so probably will work anywhere. The water was inside the coop, so a lot warmer than outside. A loop of heat tape around the bottom of a metal water pan would probably work too. The light bulb also gave light to the chickens to keep them laying more eggs.

Turn off heating on the programmer select water only

V = L x W X H
2700 = 10 x 10 x X
2700 = 100 x X
x = 2700/100
x = 27

You should be able to do that in your head.

To make the water hotter, u may constrict the water flow that goes through the tap, shower etc. With the water flows slowly, the heater has more time to heat the water in it and then the water will be hotter although it won't be boiling hot(100 degrees Celcius) because the water heater is not designated to heat water up to that temperature

Is there an internal sensor in the tank that tells the thermostat to call for heat. It wont call for heat until manually turned on the thermostat

if you have a pilot light but no flame you need a thermo coupler very easy to change but you need
to turn the gas off and pull the gun out at the end of the gun the pilot light heats the thermo coupler
that tells the gun it has a flame at the end and its ok to turn on the gas for a flame home depot will
carry a new one for you

the limit stat could be out of calibration, low water rate, by/pass if fitted may need reculated, could be blocked heat exchanger best of luck
