Getting too hot too quick...motor brushes worn out or bearings in motor have dried up...this could also have a relay that protects the motor if it heats up and this also could be not closing like it should...definitely a job for a professional it sounds like to me...

Sure, Disconnect the two wires going directly to the motor. Then apply line voltage directly to the motor terminals. If motor does not turn it is defective - check the brushes for wear or bad contact. If motor runs then the electronics are bogus.

I have the 50th jubilee electrolux model(1210)...it smells funny when I have it on and I quickly turn it off....what could it be?

Unless the motor has been replaced at some point, a bad one is my guess. You can order a new motor from an Aerus Electrolux store and they will generally replace it just for the cost of the motor. One year warranty against defects, workmanship, and on the labor.
With potential other problems on a vacuum this age, you may be ahead buying a new one. Or even a newer used one. Aerus Electrolux still has new models available for less than $1200, and with a 5 year warranty. Still a terrific machine.

Electrolux Epic series 3500 model Upright Vacuum cleaner motor(replace old one)?

I don't know what your question is, but replacing a motor for Electrolux, now Aerus, should be done by an authorized Aerus Electrolux service tech. The uprights are especially tricky to take apart and reassemble correctly. The address and phone number of the Aerus store/service center nearest you can be found at the site below.

Central vac system is 18 years old. Recently started to shut down during vacuuming. Motor may be over heating. Electrolux has been out and is pushing a new system but not sure if it is necessary.

The motor can be replaced for a lot less than the cost of a new machine. A new motor comes with a one year warranty if installed by the service tech. A new CV unit alone may be over three times as much, but does have a five year warranty.
At 18 years, there are other things that could be getting worn out as well. If you happen to need to replace them over the next year or two, then you would have been better off getting a new machine. Just the motor and hose can be over $600. Add the power module, power nozzle or parts, and wands, and the costs can end up being over $1000. So take a look at the hose and accessories. If they show a lot of wear and tear, then it might be better to replace the whole thing. A new machine carries a five year warranty, which also covers accessories.
Also, have you notice a loss of suction? This usually results from a worn out, leaky hose, and with a 30 foot hose can result in a tremendous loss of suction.
Just take all things into consideration.
Personally, I'd recommend a new canister vacuum. Depending on the model, they come with a five to twenty year warranty, with five on the accessories from the hose down.

Aerus Model 152C- vacuum doesn't run

it probably does think you have a full bag.make sure you have it cleaned out and has a bag in there or it might be the sensor for the vacuum and is not working properly. contact your nearest electrolux vac store.or you are not using proper bags.

I'm looking for a used or reasonable priced motor for my Electrolux LE, series 2100 vacuum. LEE is shown as model but no searches respond to this as a model number. Help. Thanks, Max

Unfortunately, the Electrolux company as such no longer exists. Eureka bought the name "Electrolux" and started making Eurekas with Electrolux stickers on the outside. This makes for some confusion when looking for parts.

The company that used to make Electrolux is called Aerus, and they may still be manufacturing parts for those machines, but true Electrolux parts are getting scarce. I'd check the Aerus website and see if they have a way to get those parts, or at least a cross-reference.
