Question about Mitsubishi WS-65819 TV

Open Question

Scrambled Picture I have a Mitsubishi 65" Medallion Projection TV, WS-65819. When I hook up my WII or XBox 360 or even a DVD player, I hear sound, I see the picture, but it seems as though it's scrambled. I use ATT Uverse and that works fine, just can't get the picture for my game systems to work. Both game systems use the 3 plug (Red, White, Yellow) connectors. I have tried all inputs in the back of the TV, but still not working. Please help! Thanks, Phil

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Vertical Lines on my Mitsubishi WS-65819

This sounds like a bad connection or a bad capacitor in the 220 volt source that supplies the voltage for the CRT boards. You will need to get a schematic and trace out this voltage from the PM board to the CRT driver boards when the set acts up. it could even be a connection on one of the plugs from the PM board to the CRT boards. Sorry but not a real easy repair. Might take some time to trace unless a component is failing. Good Luck

Cant connect VGA form laptop to TV.

Sounds like you may be trying to use a resolution or scan rate the TV does not support. Many of these televisions do not support 720p, but DO support 1080i.

Good luck.

HDTV CABLE NOT HOOKED UP/WORKING

COMP 1 and 2 are for 480i/p sources. Hook it to the 1080i capable on the back. Also make sure the HD DVR is outputting 1080i not 720p. The Mits can not disply 720p and will show a scrambled screen if you try to.

No Picture from Component Input #1 or #2 but do have audio via Surrond Sound

Simplest thing would be that your component cables are not HU'd correctly. Having them reversed would do this.
