Question about Kitchen Ranges
We were cooking and suddenly the display went dark and does not work. Cant use any controls. Tried to disconnect the main power and after about 30m the lock went of and we could open. Turning the main power on again starts the fan and it locks the door after several minutes, any ideas?
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: oven door lock
your oven uses a motor lock latch #316028101 around 100 dollars the motor or the linkages to the motor are most likely bad . the control board could be supplying the voltage to the motor is which case the board would be bad if the are no sensors telling it to lock the door If you are not pretty handy with a schematic and a meter I would suggest you call someone. F3 can be a thermal fuse or maybe the wrong resistance on the over sensor

You need thermostat limiter #8300802. It is on the back of the stove behind some sheet metal towards the top. With shipping this part is about $39.00. But don't waste your money. If you replace it, it will burn out again! I am currently trying to find a way for either a class action lawsuit or a total recall. Kitchenaid/Whirpool is well aware of this problem. A $1500.00 stove and it won't self clean.
