Remove the battery and check the voltage on the battery, if low try to JUMP charge, if not replace. Also check the charging voltage with the adaptor connected to the latptop. If there is no voltage then the charger must be checked.
However if the battery and adapter seems good then the mother board is a suspect and it is ideal to get the help of Tosibha service for estimation.
Is there any lights indicators lit up on the laptop?
remove the battery and the ac adaptor and press and hold the power button (for 10-15 sec) with the battery and power cable unplugged
now try powering up the laptop
check whethere the bluetooth and the power light is lit up
this indicates that there is a memory dump issue in this case you need to reseat your memory strips
for that underneeth the laptop there will be memory door
unsrew door the and open the door and you can take the memory strips out and reseat it back
Its showing you the voltage out put for the charger if all power lights are lit and the chager is pluged in if batteries show only 2vlts then they are no good and the will not charge up thats why amp meter is on 0
Your motherboard does not need replacing provided the problem is the power socket on the motherboard. If the power adapter is OK then connect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/battery charging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's power socket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position this LED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a dry solder joint where it is connected to the motherboard. This can be repaired but it requires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket and repair. I suggest you get a quote first.
ok i had this isssue and figure out what to do. this is all afterm you know that you have a good charger and or battery.
1. completely turn of phone unplug charger.
2. take and put battery back in phone and plug charger.
3. hold hit camera button and power buton. phone will come on if the update was washed it will come straight on. if not you will see the blue LED dont worry yet. just keep holding for 15 sec.
4. while phone blue LED is still on hit and hold (drum Role) menu and track ball for 15 sec.
5. now unplug charger and take out battery. wait 10 sec
6. now put battery back in and leave charger off. and turn on. unless you was in middle of update and hardware failed this WILL bring your G1 back up and running.
hope this helps everyone . MIll$tronics signing out.
I would remove all attached items. memories, hard drive, battery.
unlpug the AC. push and hold the pwer button for 20 sec. (discharge the PC).
plug in the AC and turm it on. (BIOS) only. if that is good, then install other devices.
Please plug the camera charger in AC Outlet and hook it to camera. Check camera power turn ON, works fine? if OK, switch it to Standby / Off mode. Attach battery and check any charging light lit? If yes, leave the camera on charging position for 4-5 hours until its charge light flashs or turn Off. battery is chaged now. Have fun :)
The problem could be your bezel. Remove the 3 screws from the hinges from the rear and you will be able to remove the black strip above the keyboard (after removing the screws, make sure laptop is layed wide open) once removed, press the button on the motherboard under where the power button is. If the unit still does not power up, then your motherboard is bad and needs to be replaced. If it does power up, you need to replace the bezel.
