Most of the time its the output power transistors or fet's that are shorted. you can pull the leads off the board and see if it still blows the fuses.

Power windows, dome lights, sunroof don't work in 05 mercury montego(passenger side mirror started to smoke when I released the trunk from key fob engine off)

Your fuse most likely popped. The smoke in your mirror is probably a short. The wires to the mirrors light are very thin. They do tend to break and cause a short. Check the wires before replacing the fuse, it may cause a fire.

My dishwasher made a popping sound as though a fuse had blown and smoke came out of the control panel, could this be a fuse or is it a bigger problem? If it is a fuse where is it. Thank you.

Sounds like a bigger problem. Fuses don't smoke. it could be the control board shorted out or the wires shorted out. Sometimes the rinse aid leaks on the wires and deteriorates the insulation causing a short. this would require a new wiring harness. You will have to take the door apart to see what happened.

Onkio amp popped and smoked and won't turn on

check the back and there should be a fuse holder and check the fuse. Likely that your fuse is blown.
Otherwise you might have caused a short in your speaker which will do more damage but check the fuse first.

Wife smoked up the microwave now it has no power to it

If your M/W is a counter top model and you feel comfortable about removing the outer case the power supply should be fuse protected, open it up and search and check all fuses that you can find for any fuses that may have popped to protect that circuit when your wife accidently smoked whatever it was.Good luck and don't worry about radiation contamination inside the M/W just abide by the warning labels on internal parts!

I plugged both my Axis 9's into a surge protector that was (unknown to me) 220 V while the decks were set for 110. Now neither of them will turn on. My mixer is fine, and i didnt hear any pop and there was...

good day. well both of them may had just blow a fuse. The reason you did not hear a pop sound and no smoke, its because the current required by the units are small (low wattages), So you may need to locate the fuses. replace then and test again.

Fuel injectors fuse is poping 30 amp, but before it pops it smokes inside the car, car starts then it will smoke inside of car then it will pop the fuse and shut off?

the smoking inside your car are the wires burning, only use the specified fuse rating.Your going to have to spend some time tracing wires to see what is shorted.Get yourself a schematic and start with testing the resistance of your injectors to see that they are not shorted out and trace your way back to the fuse panel.
A quick way to check the injectors is to take the fuse out and put a test light from one fuse contact to the other,if there is a short then the light will be lit.Unplug an injector and see if the light goes out if yes then that is the bad one, check them one at a time, you can also use this method to unplug connections in the harness ,if the light goes out then the fault is between there and the injectors. Also check the manual to see what else is controlled by that fuse, might not be the injectors.
Before you do any of this, inspect the fuse panel and all wire to see that you have'nt melted any wires together and that maybe the wires were shorted out there to start with.Don't keep putting fuses in or you risk catching your car on fire
Good luck
