Fuel tanks are always closest to the operator. The oil tank is the tank closest to the chain.

How do i replace my fuel in my fuel tank

To get the fuel out take the cap off the tank and dump the old fuel into a empty gas can. Then mix up some fresh fuel using fresh gas and pore it into your fuel tank. Somewhere on the saw or in your owners manual the proper fuel and oil mix should be listed. Put the fresh fuel in the tank. There still may be some old fuel in the fuel lines so use some starting fluid so the old fuel is pulled through when you first start it.

Put fling oil into the oil reservoir and that will automatically lube your chain, adjust the flow by turning screw at the underside of the saw

Fuel needs to be mixed with 2 stroke oil at a ratio of 50:1
50 parts fuel to 1 part oil.
Also it requires 'chain oil' used as a lubricant and bar coolant, this goes in the tank beneath the exhaust.

Chainsaw will start then start smoking then shut off. What could be causing this not to keep running?

There is only one reason for excessive smoke from the exhaust, and that is because it is burning oil, and the oil can only come from the petrol ,so you need to refill the fuel tank with a fresh fuel/oil mix good quaility oil at 50-1 and try again. Is it possible you may have put chain oil with the fuel, or put it in the fuel tank rather than the oil tank?

Port in front for oil and the back is for gas and mixture

Hello Andre;
I think you are saying you put oil/fuel mix in the oil tank and bar oil in the fuel tank; discovered your mistake drained both tanks and refilled with the correct fluids. Now the saw runs but smokes excessively. I think it will do no lasting harm. After you have run a few tanks of the correct mix (50:1) through the saw. Remove and clean the muffler and spark arrestor, reinstall them. Inspect your plug if any evidence of fouling replace it. I think you will be cutting with this saw for years.

Yes the additional smoke is caused by a very oil rich mixture and should abate with each fresh tank of fuel. If the chain is not moving ensure the chain brake is not engaged.

If you have more questions or need additional help please reply below and I will get back to you. Good Luck. HTH

I put oil in the petrol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put some fuel (1/2 tank) in the fuel tank, replace fuel cap and shake chainsaw. Empty this out and refill with fresh fuel (mix), Make absolutely sure to cleanup any spillage, it should be fine after that.
