Yamaha MT110 engine assembly

1. Are the roller bearings in the crankcase sealed or open? 2. How is the ring with the weights for the govener fitted onto the crankshaft?

I can't speak for the governor, but I can't IMAGINE that any crankcase roller bearings would be sealed - they need all the lubrication they can get.

Gas is pouring into crankcase what is causing this

1. Damaged or restricted fuel tank venting system.
2. Loose float bowl screws.
3. Damaged float bowl o-ring.
4. improper fuel level in the float bowl.
5. Worn or dirty inlet valve or seat.
6. Damaged or leaking float assembly.

Xj600 oil coming from exhaust

1. Piston rings worn past service specs.
2. Broken piston rings.
3. Piston pin retaining clip failure.
4. Cracked piston.
5. Broken piston ring lands.
6. Hole in the piston.
7. Valve/guide clearance worn past service specs.
8. Worn out valve seals.
9. Crushed or loose valve seal.
10. Gouges in cylinder walls.
11. Cracked cylinder or head.
12. Blown head gasket.
13. Crankcase breather blocked or hose pinched.

White smoke from exhaust on yz 250


Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Oil tank/pan overfilled.
2. Restricted oil return line to oil tank/pan.
3. Restricted breather operation.
4. Restricted oil filter.
5. Piston rings badly worn or broken.
6. Valve guides worn and or seals worn, crushed, missing, or have come of guide and are literally pumping oil through the valve guide.

My 81 yamaha enduro is smoking badly


Same happended to me with exactly the same motorcycle... I solved the provblem by replacing the crankshaft oil seal on the rightside of the crankcase. It solved the problem immediatly!
