Question about Vizio Televison & Video
Tv got wet and flipped the picture how do i fix it?
This would require the service menu & I highly recommend a technician do this as if you are able to find the service code you can get into a position that the TV does not work at all.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Mirror image - can't fix
It likely has a problem that has affected the microprocessor in some way which might be explained if you had a power outage?
I would suggest if you have not done so to unplug it for a while and turn it back on after a hour.
Also call customer service at Vizio and inquire if this is a known problem and if there is a possible software upgrade to correct and restore the set to original shape.
It can be a pain to call and wait on the phone and is hit or miss as to seeing if the person who tries to help knows what they are doing or not.
If they snap an answer "you need to take it to a shop" persist and try to talk to a technician.

Testimonial: "Thank you and even before I read your response I tried the old "unplug for 30 seconds" routine. I assumed my boyfriend had already tried that out. Anyway it worked and things are fine now. We had had an electrical storm that day and there was probably a power surge. The Vizio wasn't on a surge protector but is now. The Vizio repair people/ call center people were very nice and helpful although we (fortunately) don't need to go that route. Stephanie"
if you have comcast you can use your remote to change the tV program from cabke to DVD then change it back to cable. your image should come back.

you need to check first the power supply board whether the output supply 12-24vdc for the inverter board is stable and not flactuating..you can measure the output voltage with a multitester..you get a voltage output of 12-24 with the inverter board is connected or loaded to the system.be carefull of the high voltage at the inverter board..once the output is stable replace the inverter board or you can measure the output of the inverter be very carefull..the output range upto 500vac.be carefull..if the high voltage is stable replace the lamps...tnx and good luck..

Both: the one that never lights is totally dead, the one that lights has a short. But, if you can locate the short on that board and remove it (replace the failing part and clean the burned board) its salvageable.
Unfortunately the big problem is in the power source: the 24v that is used to power the inverters and the audio amplifier is working while the 12 and 5 v lines that are used to power everything else are dead - which is a very bad sign, it means that there's something very bad in the mainboard, you will have to verify it .
